Biography
Ever since I can remember, helping people has always been my passion. Even today, I still get the greatest enjoyment in helping people in fulfilling their lives. I don’t create rocket scientists or olympic athletes, my aspirations are more modest. I simply help people overcome the physical pain that overwhelms their everyday lives and obstructs the path that prevents them being their best. This is why I chose to be a chiropractor. I saw that the physical pain and suffering that so many people silently endure, prevented them from enjoying a fuller life that most take for granted. My approach is different. In addition to alleviating the symptoms of your pain, I try hard to understand how this is affecting you and to learn about you as a person, and together, chart a course on the road to total wellness. I’ve learned through experience, that chiropractic is more than making adjustments – it’s creating a holistic approach that is individually crafted to your needs so that pain will not impede your journey to a richer and happier life.

So I was not at all prepared to be under care like this... I first met Dr. Gelber 10 years ago - and was under his care for a few visits; I brought my kids for a few visits. But what I noticed back then is that I couldn't comfortably tolerate what seemed to be normal adjustments. My neck just felt tense when he tried to adjust me. Ultimately the neck pain and other problems I was having were not as much of a priority while raising all of my kids (they were 5, 8, 9 and 13 yrs old at the time).
Then, almost 10ish years later, I saw Dr. Gelber on Facebook and sent through a message. I was still having the same problems, and while I went in for a re-exam and a consultation, I was totally nervous about the adjustment hurting or making me tense.
But the conversation was different this time, he really listened to my needs, we did more tests, x-rays, and told me how often I'd have to come (2x a week) - I wasn't feeling ready for that kind of commitment, but I knew I needed it.
The first few adjustments didn't feel "the greatest" again... But I told him, and then he said he could adjust me much gentler, and he did! I wasn't perfect with my schedule at first, I'm super busy and was all over the place with commitments and stuff. But I started to see slow and steady changes. I always felt my neck was "wrong" or "off, and after a few months it started feeling right and normal again. My lower back issues and hip issues slowly disappeared, and now we're in our 2nd year of consistent care, and I can't wait for my adjustments. I don't feel like I'm addicted, but having less pain, and feeling more relaxed, I just really love the care.
Dr. Gelber has listened, and tailored my care to work for me, and I can't thank him enough for how I get to feel now!
