Dr. Jon Jureidini's Credentials
Accepting New Patients
No, this doctor is not accepting new patients
Does not believe in medication due to religious beliefs!!!
A while ago my younger brother suffered from mental health issues. He saw Dr Jon Jureidini at the Adelaide Children's Hospital. The experience was horrible, a sentiment that echoes modern online reviews of the Dr.
Dr Jureidini never acknowledged my brothers’ issues with anxiety and depression colleague “stating” children cannot suffer from depression. …….. Well most medical textbooks would disagree.
Our mother found a new psychiatrist who after hearing our experience of Dr Jureidini told us that it is well known Dr Jureidini is a scientologist who don’t believe in psychiatry.
Jon Jureidini is now Head of the Department of Psychological Medicine at Women's & Children's Hospital in Adelaide. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy at Flinders University and is chair of the international organisation Healthy Skepticism.
So, what does this influential person and high-ranking psychiatrist have to do with scientology and why does it matter?
Let’s have a quick look at the two. The church of scientology do not believe in mental illness nor do they believe in medication as treatment. Dr Jureidini is a public advocate for the reduction of pharmaceutical treatment and diagnosis labelling.
There is a big difference between the two so does it matter? Yes.
Looking at Dr Jureidini research a consistent name stood out on the acknowledgements section. The name was “Michael Baum” part of Baum Hedlund law firm of Los Angeles.
Michael Baum assisted Dr Jureidini in a number of papers including....
Foreign funding of medical publications must always be invested, so who is Michael Baum?
Michael Lin Baum is the senior managing partner with Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman. He is also a former staffer with the Church of Scientology ‘s multinational Guardian Office (GO).
The (GO) carried out covert operations against perceived opponents of Scientology including targeting the United States Government.
This was brought to light when Mary Sue Hubbard wife of Church founder L. Ron Hubbard was involved in a covert conspiracy named Operations Snow White.
In federal court members of the Church where charged with obstructing justice, burglary of government offices, and theft of documents and government property.
Court records describe Michael Baun as an operative of Snow White who on multiple occasions used a counterfeit IRS identification card to make copies of Interpol documents.
Mr Baun was never charged and today is a successful attorney in LA.
