Offered so many helpful tips and so much education to help me finally figure out how to breastfeed. I was going in circles trying to find information and help and couldn't figure out what was going wrong. She made everything crystal clear. And she did it with such kindness and compassion - and humour, she's really funny! She made me feel safe and like I could do anything. I arrived feeling so depleted and ready to give up breastfeeding and left on top of the world. I can happily say I have been able to breastfeed for 7 months now. I know I never could have done it without her. I am so happy I got referred there for help. I tell everyone to find her even if they don't have major problems because she teaches you how to really understand what is normal and how to not feel so anxious about baby feeding.

She is the one that saved our breastfeeding. We had so many troubles that I wanted to give up. And I know she would have supported any decision I made. She figured out that my baby had a tongue tie - after many appointment with doctors no one knew this was my trouble! But she diagnosed it after a really complete exam (nobody else do this!) and a lot of discussion of what was happening. After the tongue tie was fixed I have been breastfeeding my baby with no trouble for 18 mos. I can not believe I almost quit! Thank goodness she was able to help me. I am so happy now.

I had so many bad experiences with the Noakes clinic the first time so I was keen to try a midwife. I then went to the other Richmond midwives - huge mistake ! When I finally transferred to Jillian I knew I had found the bets care out there for me and my son. I was always respected and listened to and helped with good information. She always supported my decisions and was a very kind, caring and knowledgeable person. She also was able to help my son and me get breastfeeding going again after a few difficult problems - she fixed things immediately and taught me how to latch him and know he ie eating well. My advise is save yourself a waste of your time and just go directly to Jill & Jenny,

I can not say enough good things about the care we received from Jill! She is a breastfeeding genius - i learned so much about feeding and never anywhere else did I get such clear, intelligent and kind advice. I have used another midwifery team but they were not as good - they never listenened to my problems and did not even see me and my baby at home after. This is the best midwife in RIchmond, no comparison.

I’ve used another Richmond practice and was so disappointed- then I went to Terra Nova and found Jillian - no comparison, such a smart, caring and hardworking woman. Knowledgeable but personable too.

Pregnancy, labour and postpartum were all very positive experiences thanks to Jill. She said the right things when I needed to hear them while in labour which made me feel very comfortable, encouraged and safe.

Jill is full of knowledge and it is evident that she loves her job. Jill is very kindhearted and makes sure all your questions are answered and that all your needs are met. Definitely would recommend her to anyone that wants to have a midwife!

Jill is incredible! She is so warm and personable and you are sure to feel welcomed the moment you meet her. She is quick to listen and takes all your insecurities into account. Jill is very fast at responding to emails so you never feel out of the loop when it comes to personal questions or ultrasound/bloodwork results. Jill is incredibly caring and wants to see you succeed as a new mom. I had breastfeeding issues in the beginning and I am pretty sure she gave me more home visits than normal just to make sure I was successful.

Just a warning-- You might cry at your last postpartum visit because it feels like you're saying goodbye to an old friend. I will definitely be returning for baby #2.
