I was referred to Dr. Reeve for my TMJ symptoms. Upon my initial consultation with Dr. Reeve, I immediately felt comfortable and confident in her ability to convey her knowledge of my medical issues and understanding of how they were impacting my daily living. After non-surgical interventions failed, the decision was made to address my underbite and TMJ pain with Orthognathic surgery. Dr. Reeve worked to coordinate my pre-surgical orthodontic work with my local orthodontist, making sure that I felt informed every step of the way. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Reeve was able to ease any of my last-minute concerns again through her fantastic bedside manner, making my walk to the OR one of confidence rather than nervousness. Now being post-surgery for 5 months, I can say that Dr. Reeve has completely changed my life for the better! I am completely satisfied with the results of the surgery and couldn't recommend a more qualified surgeon to perform this surgery. Thank you, Dr. Reeve!

I have suffered with TMJ for several years and noticed that the pain was only getting worse. I heard about Dr. Reeve through a physician that I had worked for. I scheduled a consult and she decided that a less invasive approach would be better to start off with (ex: muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds.) I scheduled another follow up a few months after and let her know that none of these had worked. She then suggested that I have surgery. I agreed and I couldn't be more happier. I haven't had any jaw pain and I'm actually able to open my mouth widely with zero pain. I'll be forever grateful to her. She's an awesome surgeon and I highly recommend going to see her.

Dr. Reeve has absolutely changed my life. She and my orthodontist are an incredible team, and, through jaw surgery, gave me more than I could have ever expected. She is professional, knowledgeable, and a darn good surgeon, I'm forever grateful to her, the residents, the staff, and all the other doctors.

I highly recommend Dr Reeve. Her approach is very effective, clear and professional. She performed a cyst removal in my lower jaw/gum. The surgery was pretty complex as the cyst had been growing for quite a while and was going all around the roots of my teeth. Yet the recovery was much less difficult than I anticipated and Dr Reeve was very caring and responsive to my questions. A few weeks later I could barely feel a trace of any surgery. My gums felt as if untouched. And I didn’t have to take the stronger pain relievers a single time. In the pre-op process it was very helpful to be able to do my CT scan within the hospital and have the results directly communicated to the doctor. Dr Reeve’s office is very nice and easy to communicate with over email and phone.
The day of the surgery the wait was quite long but I apreciated that once it was done, my medication was already called in and prepared from the pharmacy on site. The Presbyterian Weill Cornell hospital can feel a bit overwhelming by its size and administration but it’s also known to be one of the best hospitals in New York and I definitely felt I was in good hands.

Dr. Reeves is my new favorite person. Because of her, I now have relief, something I haven't had in over 15 years. The TMJ surgery was much less invasive than what other doctors do, based on my research. Three weeks out, my scars can't even be seen, & most importantly I have little to no pain. I never thought this was possible. No matter your location (mine was 4hrs away), if you need an expert, it's worth traveling to be under her care. She's phenomenal; she cures. I'll be forever thankful.

I went to see Dr Reeve for a TMJ consult after many years of severe flareups and facial pain and I found her to be extremely knowledgable and thorough in evaluating my jaw issues. I'd been to other TMJ specialists (top hospitals etc) and most simply glance at the X ray, nod to the list of symptoms and send you off with medication (one even prescribed STEROIDS from the first visit, no thank you very much!)
I found her consult to be very helpful, and I appreciate that she really provides all of the different options (both medically, and holistically- which can also be equally important) Weill Cornell NYP really does has some of the best doctors and Im so grateful that my insurance covers my visits to her office. I've emailed her after the consult with followup questions and she was extremely responsive, another example that she is attentive and cares about her patients. I would highly recommend her for TMJ/related issues.

Similar the other reviews below, I have severe TMJ / jaw grinding issues that would not resolve from other treatments. I saw 4 other doctors over a course of 5 years and none of the treatments worked (eg. mouth guard, specialized bite guards, muscle relaxants) but the Botox injections worked wonderfully. The duration isn’t as good as I had hoped (effects go away after ~4 months) but has been the only effective solution thus far. Dr. Reeve doesn’t try to push any other devices or other procedures onto the patients and actually has a thorough understanding of the TMJ issues. I moved out of NY but considered coming back to the city just for appointments with her.

I was diagnosed with severe clenching and TMJ. I did quite a bit of research on other options prior to surgery. It seems I exerted all options and had no choice but surgery. From my first appt with Dr. Reeve I have had nothing except excellent conversations with her. I explained thoroughly my issues and options I have tried. She walked me through the whole process of testing and then regrouped with me on the next steps. I was a perfect candidate for the surgery and was hoping for the best. She explained everything from what the surgery was about to the healing process. I followed Dr. Reeve ‘s orders to the end. I am so happy with my post surgery follow up. I have gained motion back in my jaw and we still have some work on my clenching. We are now working on Botox injections to help relax the muscles. I’ve done one round so far and today was my second round (5 months apart). I highly recommend Dr. Reeve and will be working with her again on dental implants as well.
