The highest level of care, compassion, professionalism and Surgical skills to which I am so grateful to have experienced. He did what 4 top surgeons couldn't do. He is a true surgical artist. I hold him in the highest regard and would recommend him, in fact insist on him for any reconstructive surgery.

Dr Dimitri Liakos is good in what he is doing. He did the surgery and reconstruction on both my breasts due to breast cancer. I must say that I was worried of the picture of myself after the surgery, but hey I am good and healing nicely with no complications. My scars are neat and beautiful. My 3 drains where out on the second week. The staff was good with communication and checking on how am I doing after the surgery. All the way from Kuruman.

I wish there was more than 5 stars. He is the best doctor across speciality I’ve ever been to. He’s got amazing bed side manner, he takes so much time to explain everything and he recommends what’s best not what’s most expensive. The whole experience was so pleasant it almost makes you want to come for more surgery🤣 His staff are also so great and I love their use of technology so no forms to fill in. Ever!

I am a medical doctor myself, so I selected Dr Liakos with care, based on his excellent reputation within the profession. I have not been disappointed. From my first appointment with him (where he discussed the reconstructive options available to me for an hour!) to three surgical procedures and numerous in- and outpatient consultations, he has always been concerned, kind and professional, and he is a superb surgeon! He is supported by a great team; Gill on the admin side and Sister Laura on the medical side. Sister Laura was always available to me to answer my questions and both were always helpful. Dr Liakos also works with an excellent group of anaesthetists at Donald Gordon and my experiences in the hospital were all positive.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Liakos as an outstanding plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

Dr Liakos is a Surgeon like no other - Besides the ultimate result that I achieved from Dr Liakos which I am thrilled with, and could not have asked for better, the genuine care , empathy and after surgery care is like no other ever received. I was diagnosed with a massive tumour not known whether benign or melignant prior to surgery, but the reconstructive procedure explained by Dr Liakos was massive. He was cautious, caring, with a high level of knowledge. He uses cutting edge technology. I was so nervous that Dr Liakos saw me free of charge twice before surgery to ease my nerves where he very patiently explained the procedure to me over and over again where any other surgeon would have lost patience with me and got frustrated.
His care and his level of perfection is astounding. He is approachable ,gives you time and makes you feel as if you were the only patient of the day. Please do not look further. Dr Liakos is all and more that one looks for in a Professional Surgeon dealing in sensitive reconstructive surgery.Nobody wants to go through non elective surgery, I thank my lucky stars daily that when my Dr found my lump in my breast he referred me to Dr Liakos.

I had a virtual consult with Dr Liakos earlier in the year and then waited patiently for a date for my operation . I live in Ireland and had to travel to SA for my breast reduction surgery .I was a bit nervous because of all the restrictions etc and the recovery time , it all worked out beautifully for me and I had the best experience !!!Dr Liakos came highly recommended . I waited 18 years to have this done and I do believe I chose the best that South Africa can offer .He is very personable , I appreciated that He took the time to guide me through what I wanted versus what he recommended that would help minimise the risks and post operative complications etc . He also looked at me as an individual and gave me a look that would suit my body overall .He is impeccable with his attention to detail , he is friendly , easy in manner and humble in approach, I felt at ease all times and well cared for post op by both him and nurse Laura . Dr Liakos and his team are highly professional and considerate in every aspect. I healed and recovered beautifully and my expectations were
exceeded, I know that’s testament to what a talented surgeon He is.

The procedure I had was an upper and lower lid blepharoplasty. Dr Liakos explained everything I needed to know in detail and I am extremely happy and grateful with the overall outcome which is better than what I had expected. My experience from start to finish was really great - talk about meeting a Dr. who makes you feel at ease from the moment you meet him! I had botox on my forehead and am BEYOND thrilled with the results - it looks better than I thought it would - so natural. Can't believe I didn't do it earlier!

All of the staff were professional, kind and exceptionally helpful. I would encourage anyone thinking about any procedure to go see Dr. Liakos! He is beyond the very best. Thank you Doctor.
