I first saw Dr. David Gladstone when I presented in emerg with the symptoms of blurred vision post a fall which resulted in a wrist fracture.
Initially the Doctors thought I had a stroke and for that reason, fortunate for me I was referred to Dr. David Gladstone as my neurologist.
I am elderly,and an old retired nurse.
In my entire career I have never met a more caring , kind and thoughtful Doctor.
He is truly unique. I fear there will never be one who could take his place.
He makes you feel as though he genuinely cares about you
He takes his time , explains everything very thoroughly and willing to respond to questions.
Today he discharged me as I made a good recovery.
However I am sad that he will no longer be my specialist with the hope that if I have recurring problems I will be fortunate enough to be referred back to him.
We are desperate to have Doctors who will follow with his expertise and kindness.
Lucky for Sunnybrook to have him on staff.

I was diagnosed with a mini stroke in June 2021. I went to see Dr Gladstone for a second opinion on my diagnosis. We found Dr Gladstone to be very patient, he listened and answer all our questions. He put my mind at ease as he suggested what else can be done to avoid a future stroke. He also reassured me that he could not find anything on my MRI/CT scan which suggested I had a mini stroke. Last year I saw Dr Gladstone for a follow-up appointment, he reassured me he would continue to see me to monitor the colestral buildup in my neck. Dr Gladstone is very professional, kind and considerate to his patient’s needs. I am truly blessed to him treat me today and in the future.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gladstone for quite a few years and he is, in my opinion, the absolute BEST Neurologist I have seen and I have seen quite a few. He is so thorough it boggles my mind that he would spend so much time with me to make sure that everything since my Brain Bleed in 2015 is doing very well. He doesn't just concentrate on one thing he cares about the whole patient's health and well being. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Gladstone....he is my hero! Dr Gladstone has been my Uncle’s neurologist since September 2022. He is a wonderful diagnostician but more than that, he is kind,
respectful and goes above and beyond to make sure that my Uncle’s health needs are taken care of in a timely manner. He understood how important his dignity and independence is and ensured that he was operated on and I’m turn given a second chance to enjoy his later years. . I was lucky to become a patient of dr. David Gladstone in stroke prevention clinic in Sunnybrook hospital in 2018.
Nothing, but the highest prizes and gratitude for his attention to my serious problem , I have. Thanks to Dr. Gladstone & his team. I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my brain which was successfully removed. I have had no adverse affects from the stroke & I an on an anticoagulant and statin for the rest of my life.
Dr. Gladstone has been very prompt in answering my emails and/or telephone calls I never feel rushed and my questions & concerns have always been answered on a timely basis and in a manner that I have always been able to fully understand.
I feel blessed that I was treated & have follow-ups with Dr. Gladstone.

Dr Gladstone is a very knowledgeable, caring neurologist. He never seems to be rushed, takes the time to understand your concerns and is genuinely interested in you as a person. I have been lucky enough to be a patient of Dr. Gladstone for approximately ten years. He has been a key reason why I have been able to lead a reasonably normal life after being diagnosed with atrial vib and suffering two brain bleeds and a minor stroke. Thank you Dr. Gladstone.

My wife suffered a stroke (hemorrhage) to the left rear side of her brain in September 2020., where she lost her memory, and speech. She was first treated at Lindsay Hospital (Ross Memorial) and her MRI was sent to Doctor Gladstone of Sunnybrook Health Centre, Stroke Clinic. He viewed her findings and diagnosed her stroke and recommended treatment for her.
Since this time happy to say that my wife has made a significant improvement with regards to her stroke.
We have spoken to Dr. Gladstone over the phone and had many virtual appointments but finally was able to meet him in person at Sunnybrook Hospital.
He took his time, discussing what was happening, did not rush any of our meetings and when finally meeting personally found him very humble and truly professional.
He suggested a Gemma-knife procedure for my wife which was done in February 2022, by a neurosurgeon Dr. DaCosta, and oncologist Dr. Soloman both of Sunnybrook Health Centre. This procedure is to reduce the chances of another stroke drastically.
I found Dr. Gladstone and very caring doctor but what's more important a fantastic human being. So happy that he is our neurologist and would recommend him to anyone.
