Attended for issues with actinic keratosis. She persuaded me to try photodynamic therapy.
I have never experienced such barbaric pain in my life. She did not attend pre, during or post op.
One staff member was training on me . I had written O’Blenes ( to no avail ) 2 times indicating her poor pain management skills and instructed her on proper analgesic protocols. I am a retired dental Surgeon and patient care and pain control was paramount. No so with these people.

Waited for over a month to hear about a appt ..I figured it would be a while but thought they'd phone on date. They never answer their phone and when receptionist called it was we sent dr twice a notice saying if you need to be seen earlier than April then book other. Appt and they just didn't bother to book and ask me if I wanted to wait , it was just omitted. I said well I haven't heard anything and either has my dr ..i said April is OK can u book appt please .she was like you can book with others around town . I'm like I'm just coming for keritosis but my old dermatolist also looked for cancer as I've had cancer and skin cancer ..her reply is well u need a seperate requisition for each one usually dermatoligsist look at the keritoosis for cancerous ones along with them . ..I'm 65 disabled and been to a few dermatologist through my many years over 40 years time and never have I had to have numerous requisitions. . So wouldn't see me without numerous requesitions and just kept suggesting names of other dermatologists around and very condensending as others have said on here . . Sad I heard a few family members go to her so I thought I'd ask my dr to see her as I can't drive far anymore but it seems they try their hardest to deter any patients coming there . I've never heard a Dr's office do or say what they did and didn't

Two different doctors sent a referral to this doctor it still took close to a month to get an appointment, after the first appointment was cancelled by the doctor, the initial phone call (after I emailed photos of the issues) to ended with the doctor suggesting a specific treatment not typically covered by OHIP, I recived an appointment date via text and almost 6 months later I was finally seeing the doctor. Before the appointment I researched the doctors course of action and contacted my Insurance company so everything was ready. To my dismay I found out when the doctor came in that she wasn’t going to proceed with what we spoke about but something completely different- that I’ve had done before by my family doctor and could have done this time without the 6 month wait. She then gave me a condescending lecture on what I should want done based on what she would do (I didn’t ask her opinion). When I said that wasn’t what we spoke about and not what I wanted she proceeded to say a I had a problem and then ha that she didn’t want to provide care for me and suggested a referral to other dermatologists! The level of professionalism is severely lacking. After waiting for an hour, my 5 minute visit that included a stranger that the doctor brought into the consult room without introduction or permission was over. I was so offended and dismayed that i now have to start the referral process again when I’m trying to cope with multiple skin cancer lesions on my face.

After waiting a months an half for my appointment, and waiting in her office for another 50 minutes, I tried to explain to the receptionist that I have a 4 yr old child and asked her nicely to speak to the doctor if my son can be seen sooner, the receptionist put me in the second room and closed the door. Apparently she did not even communicate my ask with the doctor. My son was very impatient waiting for this long time. When will the doctors and specialists learn HOW to book the appointment !!! If their time is valuable and they want to book patients back to back, OUR time as patients is ALSO valuable. THE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM IS A VERY SIMPLE SYSTEM, BUT NO DOCTOR WANTS TO IMPLEMENT THAT PROPERLY. WHY IS THAT, YOU MIGHT ASK ? I THINK WE ALL KNOW THE REASON. This is NOT a CARE system, it is a BILLING system. It is TIME to CHANGE IT PEOPLE. Doctors used to care for patients, now they care about swiping your OHIP card only.

A wonderful, very professional, very knowledgeable, incredibly gracious and likeable dermatologist. Has the additional expertise of being a former plastic surgeon. The rating I would give her on all scales is "superior". The entire office and all staff too.

Dr. o'Blenes solved my skin problems but more importantly spent time to listen to my history and provide useful advice. She is empathetic and demonstrates how well she cares for each patient's problems. I am so grateful to have been referred to her practise!

They were behind schedule just as advised that they normal are. However the care was amazing, she took the time to listen to the history, while interacting and being extremely patient with my typical busy 4 year old boy ( who was the patient). Strongly recommend her to others

Really not pleased. I went to her after years of trying to get referred to a dermatologist. With terrible allergic reactions around my eyes and cheeks and excema.
I was expecting she would send me to some sort of allergy testing or recommend some gentle skin products that could help.
However, after telling her I've had allergic reactions to medication and dont like putting medications into my body (because I am a more holistic kind of gal) her treatment plan was to never put anything on my skin other than water and every time I have an allergic reaction to take an antihistamine for 6 weeks. Which would probably leave me on medication the rest of my life.... i was in an out of the appointment I spent years trying to get in 15 minutes... left without any hope that my painful reactions would ever stop.....NOT PLEASED.

On the upside. I went to a naturopath who created a comprehensive plan for me and I haven't had a reaction since.
