Long wait and office staff was Okay. Decent visit. After inquiring about approval for birth control from insurance they told me they would take care of it. A month later I did the research myself after they did not call me back. Then they would not call me back after several phone calls to office with me providing the information for an appointment. After 3 months of silence and run around, I have decided to go elsewhere.

Been waiting over 5 months just to get an IUD that my insurance WILL cover. Plucknett is very kind and knowledgeable, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. They tried to make be go and obtain the actual IUD BY MYSELF. They just wrote a RX and told me to go find a pharmacy that will give me the device, and bring it back to them. (you know this is impossible, right?) All this time and effort wasted when I could have just gone to planned parenthood. Never thought a married 25 yr old woman with a family would have this hard of a time getting birth control.

I have had two surgeries in 2010 with Dr. Plucknett, the first in Feb for a urethral sling, the second in June for the removal of an ovary. I am happy to say that both surgeries were successful. Dr. Plucknett is a down to earth, very pleasant person, not to mention a skilled surgeon. The downside... Some, only some of her office staff are less than helpful. Calling on the phone is likely to get you a snippy receptionist, although there was also a new, very pleasant one there at my last visit. Overall, if you don't mind waiting a long time for your appointment, Dr Plucknett and Elaine are well worth the wait for excellent medical care.

I recently had a visit with Dr. Plucknett and it was a very good experience. She is very knowledgeable and down to earth. She took the time to explain things to me in a way that makes sense. I understand she is a very good surgeon, but fortunately I did not need surgery. I would recommend Dr. Plucknett as a gem of a Doctor.

Very unhappy experience. Ultrasound machine started to smoke and broke while testing and I was still charged for the visit. Staff has major attitude. Prepare to wait for the appointment. Ultrasound associate talks non stop about her personal life. No answers and will not give copies of medical records to you. Sorry I ever went and makes me nervous to ever go to another gynecologist. I recommend going to Geisinger obgyn-a further trip but they obviously care and want your business.

Beyond the basics, ie pap smears and friendliness, very poor. Very poor follow up. Inaccurate interpretation of expensive in office tests. No better after 1 year of "treatment". Will not go back.

Dr. Plunknett took excellent care of me when I had surgery to correct a botched hysterectomy. She was training in Baltimore at the time and due to her excellent care, I bounced right back, and I owe her and Dr. Dorsey a world of thanks!

She was willing to do a total hysterectomy when another gynecologist did not want to(even after it was urged by my cancer oncologist). Very happy surgery was done and had no problems. Compared to other dr's I've seen in the area, she is definitely a better choice for me.
