Shiela the receptionist is unpleasant to talk with, very unprofessional and rude. Whenever I call to set up an appointment, she never fails to make me feel bad. Dr. Dangerfield is a good doctor, but because of Sheila I am always hesitant to see her. The reason why I don’t get to send my kids for an annual exam. I truly dislike that person, that field as a front liner is just not for her. She needs to quit if she has no compassion with people.

i was with dr Aalto when he was in practice, and he was amazing!! when he retired, i switched to dr Dangerfield. the worst mistake i think i could have ever made. i was a minor, and had 0 choice in the matter, but it was still awful. i had all of my teen years appointments with her, and during the pandemic life was hard for me. i told her i was depressed, self harming and very anxious. she pushed me off to a psychiatrist who was one of her buddies and was extremely judgemental as well. i would have ticks, and she said that i 'didnt have tourettes' meanwhile that's what i do when im overstimulated, and i didn't learn that until later in life. the biggest punch in the face though was when my parents brought up a concern of me having neuropathy later on in life, and i was already starting to feel symptoms at a younger age. she brushed it off and told my parents to stop worrying so much. the doctor i have now tested me for it, and thank goodness i dont have it, but im now going to see a specialist for arthritis. this could have been monitored, but she clearly didn't want to do that. it took her 3 years to diagnose me with anxiety and depression, and she didn't even believe i had it at the next appointment. she put me on medication, which helped a lot, and im still taking it even though i left her since i turned 18, but she was reluctant to put me on it. i now have issues with doctors because of her, and even trying to get screened to autism and ADHD is a pain because i don't think anyone will believe me. she has caused me so much pain and trust issues with other doctors it's not even funny. her receptionist also needs to retire. she's a mean old bat and always scared my family. we hate both the dr and the receptionist, and im glad im out of the hellhole they call the 5th floor

They are way to busy to help your child unless you have an appointment for which you will wait for an hour to be seen. Sheila is so rude and unprofessional. Always rushed. When you finally see the doctor you are so rushed you forget to ask the questions you had for them. Terrible experience and I would not recommend anyone there. That’s not how you treat children.

This is my daughter’s family doctor but she’s never available to see my daughter when needed, appointments get rescheduled, treatment gets missed…etc
I don’t know how many times we’ve had to go to the children’s hospital or walk-in clinics because dr Dangerfield was not available.. it seems to be an ongoing issues every time we try to book an appointment when an issue comes up.
I don’t know if she purposely over books herself to maximize profits but her and her secretary especially don’t make you feel welcome to see her with out booking 6months in advance…
sorry, if I new my child would be sick with 6month notice then I would pre book things but as we all know things change day to day with children and the big thing to take from this message is when your doctors needed this dr Dangerfield will not be available… as usual.

Dr Dangerfield is so, so, so wonderful! I have kids ranging from 16yrs-4 months. We started with dr Alto (who we also loved) and transitioned to see Dr. Dangerfield and I feel so grateful that she is who took over for him! She is always a tad late because she spends the time she needs to with all her patients! I always just plan my day to be there a little longer. Her receptionist gets a bad rap, because she is VERY busy, but truly is a very kind person. Over the 16 years of dealing with her, (yes she often seems very rushed) she has always come through when I needed her to. When I was very worried she calmed me down and got my babies in ASAP! She has a challenging job and keeps things running smooth. Try and see past this, and have a conversation with her, she is actually very kind, and very good at her job!

Dr Dangerfield is one of the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate Dr.’s I've ever experienced, so professional and takes every single concern you have seriously! I would recommend her to everyone I know with a little one!

Dr. Dangerfield is wonderful. Hands down. She patient, kind, understanding, non judgmental and simply pleasant. Seeing her makes the dread of hauling two screaming kids a little less bearable. What I love about her is she not only cares for my kids, but for me too. During the pandemic, seeing her really helped with my anxiety and she genuinely showed she cared about my well being. I couldn't thank her enough for those tough times.

But.... her receptionist.... Sheila. OMG. I know I've done nothing to that lady, but she's the most impatient, rude, unpleasant, and unreasonable person I've met. She leaves you on phone hold for an hour, and constantly makes you feel like you're bothering her.

She makes me hate coming in. When you walk in, she always tells you to get your baby undressed and ALWAYS TELLS YOU TO HURRY UP. I'm sorry. But when I have 2 kids by myself because of covid rules, THE LAST THING I NEED TO HEAR IS HURRY UP. Then, we had to get my son weighed, and then she tells us to get in the room. She again told me to hurry up because Dr. Dangerfield is waiting. I'm like, I need to put my kids shoes back on and push the stroller for my baby. DON'T EFFING RUSH ME. Finally once we're in the room, I overhear Sheila say, "Oh geez....*sigh" OH I'M SORRY AM I NOT MOVING FAST ENOUGH JUGGLING TWO KIDS ONE WITHOUT SHOES AND ONE UNDRESSED?!? She drives me crazy with her effing hurry up and wait game. Because Dr. Dangerfield never is on time!!!! Please Sheila, just leave. You need a job that is not front facing service to the public. Because you're the first person we talk to and see coming into the 5th floor. AND YOU MAKE THE EXPERIENCE AWFUL.

The smartest doctor I know. Sometimes a bit late, but she will never miss a diagnosis when it matter. Never. Very happy to have her as a doctor. So lucky.
