Biography

Andrew R. Hromada, MD is a hospitalist/nocturnist at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY. Dr. Hromada completed his residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2017. During residency, he served as the elected house staff representative on the Committee of Interns and Residents. He is currently board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine and will be taking the initial certification examination in Fall 2017. His research interests include the incorporation of health information technology directly to bedside clinical care, human/technology interface design, health information exchanges, patient-centered technology for the management of chronic diseases, big data science for population informatics and health policy, and medical decision assisting software. Prior to his residency in internal medicine, Dr. Hromada received his Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science with honors and minor in management from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2009 and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2014. As a member of the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholar’s Program, he received a Diploma of Higher Education in Medical Sciences from Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom in 2011. Before studying medicine, he was a software engineer for Apple, Inc. and a systems engineer for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
