I saw Dr. Ahmed a year ago via on-line. He was kind, compassionate and understanding. He provided a thorough assessment for my long-term disability insurer. He was going to be a few minutes late for my appointment and called me personally to advise me of that. He had a great ability to make me at ease and demonstrated understanding. His report was comprehensive with several helpful recommendations.

Excellent! Dr. Saleh is an experienced, knowledgeable psychiatrist, who took the time to listen and put the patient at ease. He understands the effect of new drugs and how the can potentially interact with the existing polypharmacy in many elderly/senior citizens.

As a military vet with chronic pain and mental illness, I have unfortunately found that in my never ending search for a better life that although "mental illness" is a nice catch phrase that everyone like to attach themselves to, real help is very elusive. Medical staff that really listen, show empathy and want to help as best they can are frustratingly rare. So rare, that now when I run into a mental health professional that treats me with kindness and respect, I can't help it, I get teared up thanking them. Nova Scotia is extremely lucky to have Dr. Saleh. I never once felt disrespected, or made to feel like my struggles were silly. We could use a lot more Doctor's like him in the mental health profession. He will always have my deepest respect.

I saw Dr. Saleh and the only good thing I have to say about him is he was punctual. Most of what he said during the appointment sounded good, however he never delivered on it. For example, finding a psychiatrist to monitor my medication.

Was treated by this doctor against my will, detained in hospital unnecessarily and suffered serious debilitating side effects from the medications that were administered. Just stay away from the mental heath care system all together... they just want to force drugs on you.

WOW. I have never witnessed a more committed Doctor. Dr. Ahmed Saleh is an incredibly patient, knowledgeable, informative, and compassionate. We are so fortunate to have him at the Valley Regional Hospital. A family member of ours has suffered a long journey and is currently under his care. Our family only has positive things to say about him. Dr. Saleh has been extremely thorough. He often takes the time out of his busy day to make affected family members feel better informed and more empowered. He's wonderful.

Dr. Saleh is an extremely compassionate and caring psychiatrist. His patience and understanding of difficult situations, and his non-judgmental approach was greatly appreciated in a time of crisis for a loved one. He not only helped my family member, but took time to check in with me as a caregiver. He is an amazing addition to the VRH team, and an asset to our community.

Dr Saleh is a true blessing to the field of psychiatry. Very kind, compassionate and caring. Never felt rushed and has been a tremendous help to my son. I truly do not know what we would have done without him. As a mother seeing a son struggling with a mental illness is extremely hard but Dr Saleh was very kind and understanding and very patient with all my questions. He was excellent with my son and as a result my son has built up a trust with him and the entire inpatient and outpatient team of professionals. My son no longer has to suffer in silence and is now hopeful about his future. Dr Saleh is very gifted and we are so fortunate to have him in the valley.
