I have been going to Dr. Meltz for many years and am so pleased with him and his office...He has helped me physically so much, vey kind, listens and takes time examining me and explaining medicines, always helpful when I call and with prescriptions. I am extremely pleased with this doctor and office. I was very sick and now am very well.

This physician does not take the time to know the patient thoroughly. Ideal care will only exist when the patient is seen not from a single speciality point of view BUT with full appreciation of other organ systems, emotional or psychosocial factors, information based on continuity over a period of time, and knowledge of the patients family and community.

He is not as communitavive as many doctors. He is helpfull & knowledgable, but somewhat less talkative than others.

I have been going to Dr. Meltz for 15 years. I thought it was great until recently. I started second guessing him and have recently changed doctors, due to his non-urgent need to figure out what is going on. He rushes you in the room and you feel bad asking guestions (like you are taking up his time). His office will call w/ test results but doesn't tell you what the next step is if you are still having symptoms.

Dr. Meltz has been our doctor for many years. He is very knowledgable and an excellent physician. When my husband had heart bypass surgery and got a hospital acquired infection, Dr. Meltz stepped in and took over. He called specialists in and saw that he got the best of care. Dr. Meltz was there checking on him as often as he could and was in constant contact with me, as to his progress. I can honestly say that Dr. Meltz saved his life and helped me maintain my sanity. I worked at the same hospital her practiced in and saw what an excellent physician he was... that is why I chose him for us. He was the only doctor that was able to get my husband and I to stop smoking, after 50 plus years of doing so. There are not any physicians better than he and very few, as good.

When my father turned critical in the hospital because he had missed diaganosised him he didn't even call us to tell us how critical he was. I called his office to see what the next steps were and he asked if the hospital had called us. When I asked why, "your father is critically ill" my father later died because he missed a diseased gallbladder.
