First visit 8 wks ago. Went to see him on the advice of a friend, with an open mind and no ANY expectation. I have suffered with an autoimmune disorder & comorbidities 20+ years, including residual bell's palsy paralysis and synkenesis. In addition to which I have experienced daily debilitating back pain for 30. We have spend in excess of $50K travelling to the US seeking answers, to no avail. When I think about the ways in which my life has changed beginning about 10 minutes into my first session, I want to cry. I feel so very fortunate to have Dr. Murphy in my life and I don't think it is a stretch to say that I believe he has saved my life. After four long years being sick, having pain in any area in my body, being dizzy, dis-balanced, with sudan and unexpected no-reason jumps of blood pressure, falling on the streets couple times, feeling anxious, giving up driving on HWYs , lumbar pain and bad headaches, low energy, low concentration, struggling everyday... All the doctors I have seen during this period said that I am complicated case.I came to see Dr. Murphy with out clue about Bowen. Since the moment I met him and talked to him I knew I am at the right place. After few months of therapy most of my problems were solved. I am today happy and healthy person. And thankfull forever. I have been a patient of Dr. Murphy's for many years and he has helped me and my children in MANY areas - truly a god send! Bowen corrected my knee injury in just 2 treatments (after 3 mos. of physio, acupuncture, etc. that didn't help at all). When my first son was born and became colicky around 6 wks old and had baby acne, Derek identified that the two were related to digestive issues and did one Bowen treatment on the baby - my son slept the entire drive home (1 hr) and his baby acne had almost completely cleared up by the time we arrived home - the colic was much better after that. These are just 2 examples of MANY successful treatments and insightful advice I have received from Dr. Murphy! Would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone! One tip is that if he gives you post care instructions to follow, then FOLLOW them, otherwise you could be undoing the treatment and might think that Bowen doesn't work - my guess is that's what happened with the reviewer who had the negative experience?

After visiting many Doctor finally I found Dr. Murphy. He is very knowledgeable in the fields of Bowen, traditional Chinese medicine and how emotions affect you body. He has been working with me to find the root of my problems, my health has been improved a lot. Thanks ;) Dr. Murphy is the best! Very smart, kind and he takes his time to help the people. You stress will be gone since the moment you open the door of his office ;)

Derek has a gift!!! Of healing and compassion and awareness. He is humble and possess extraoridary beautiful energy. I asked for a miracle and I was guided by something bigger than us to him. His secratary, Lorna, is a lovely woman with a warm heart. His office is a very comfortable athmosphere, calm and positive energies. Its rare to find someone nowadays who genuinely wants to help and is giving of themselves to do so. His ability to improve conditions through the Bowen Technique is unmeasurable. Dr. Murphy is one of the best naturopaths I know. I have been to five to find "cure" for my auto immune disorder, and he has found it. He makes use of homeopathic tissue salts to restore mineral balance and is highly knowledgeable in the field of traditional chinese medicine. For one appointment, you get a consult, Bowen, and a homeopathic remedy for one price ... nice to see a naturopath who doesn't hose you on supplements as you walk out the door. He addresses the underlying emotional issues surrounding your disease to correct imbalance and cure. Simply brilliant!!!
