I have been seeing Dr Barabtarlo for several years. He is a fantastic doctor and his staff are wonderful. He listens and gives profound insight, while providing expert advice to cope with life's worst tragedies. Not only is he extremely reliable, he will do whatever he can to help, including seeing you on short notice during a crisis. I couldn't have functioned the past few years without his supportive voice of reason.

He does not care about his patients. He cares about his earnings. Patient are just a means to an end. It can't be ignorance as he, as he continually claims. It is downright full on Malpractice.

I have been on alprazolam for 25 years or more and recently my doctor retired and I went back to Dr. B who I had seen many years ago. I have severe anxiety disorder and definitely need my medication to function in every day life. But try to go to any doctor and get that medication And they make it very difficult despite the fact I've been on it for years with no issues whatsoever. Dr. B is very helpful and also prescribed me an anti-depressant which helps very much and diagnosed me finally after all these years with ADHD which I've always known I had . So finally I am getting the help and medication that I need to function properly. Thank you Dr. B I really appreciate you taking me back on as a patient! JL

I seen Dr. Barabtarlo once a month from 2006 to 2013.
All he did was prescribe medication he never once listened to anything I said or tried to discuss any issues I brought up. The appointments were only about 10-15 minutes long and then I was being rushed out the door.
In 2013 I called a few times and left a message to schedule my next appointment (I needed my medication) it’s now 2022 and I’’m still waiting for my appointment .
His office just dropped me with no explanation and no meds just out of the blue.

In my opinion he is the worst psychiatrist anybody could see and he has been suspended by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in the past. Had a miserable smirk on his face and insulted me. I trusted my intuition and got help elsewhere. stay away from this little man. He is not at all interested in the patient.

I came to Dr Barabtolo after many years of suffering from Childhood Onset Fluency Disorder (Stuttering). I had done my research beforehand, and found that dopamine antagonist/dopamine blocking medications have shown the most positive results in terms of reducing stuttering severity. I went into the appointment not knowing if he would prescribe me the antipsychotic I wanted to try. I left the appointment feeling understood, and well cared for. He prescribed me the medication I wanted to try, he did not push me towards any medications I did not want to try. You must understand that he is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. If you do your research beforehand, and you come in with a medication in mind that you want to try, he is absolutely THE psychiatrist that you want to visit. Very respectful, courteous, and understanding. His receptionist was also very pleasant and put me at ease from the very first step into the office. If your main goal is medication, you have found the right psychiatrist.

Dr. Barabtarlo takes his time with his patients and genuinely listens. I have never had to wait for an appointment. His staff are very helpful, accomodating and welcoming both in the office and on the phone. I would highly recommend him.

I should’ve known it would be a waste of my time when they didn’t need me to fill out any paperwork ahead of time. I waited six months for an appointment and now I have to wait again to see a reputable doctor to properly diagnose ADHD. This guy just wants to write scripts and go home.
Doctor didn’t wear a mask. Newmarket is a tiny office and not able to be socially distanced. He didn’t represent himself professionally. Office was very outdated and not welcoming. Not relaxing. I felt unsafe. He scribbled some notes on a blank piece of white paper. He didn’t seem to really to listen to me. He just wanted to prescribe medication. He said caffein has no effect on ADHD really??!

A family member that has many health issues sees this doctor. While he is an adequate psychiatrist, he does not take his patients’ physical well being to heart during this unprecedented pandemic. He refused to wear a mask even when asked to, by an immune compromised patient. I find that unethical and unprofessional.
