D-r Astley offers the best of both: Western and Eastern medicine to her patients. Very professional, compassionate, and passionate about her work. Claire helped our family in most difficult times. We are still seeing her for other reasons today. She is a doctor for life.

Dr. Astley is a wonderful doctor, very kind and caring. I always had the feeling that she took care of me as a whole person, not just a patient with some symptoms. I have moved out of the area but still consult with her on occasion re: medical issues by phone. She has a wholistic perspective that most other doctors generally don't provide.

She is a very informed and thorough Doctor. Dr. Astley genuinely cares and with her being a Dr. of acupuncture and chinese medicines her patients get the best of both worlds.

Excellent doctor. I'll usually have several things to ask her about and, although they might be minor, she never rushes through them but gives them her full attention. Very knowledgeable about herbs, vitamins, and nutrition. When she does give you a prescription, she's quite clear about what it is for and how to take it. Lastly, gives the least painful internal exam I've ever had!

I have been going to see Dr. Astley since she opened her practice in Victoria. I moved 70 kms away 3 years ago and I still continue to use her as my family doctor because she is so good. I appreciate that because of her additional Doctor of Chinese Medicine status, she is just as likely to prescribe herbs or acupuncture or Western medicine precriptions, but she always leaves it up to her patients as to what they would prefer, never forcing any one type of medicine over another. She never acts as though she has all the answers either. She is comfortable looking up prescription drugs to ensure you get the best one for your symptoms, which I have always liked. She's not pretentious.

I have been going to Dr. Astley since 1997. Dr. Astley has helped me through very difficult times in my live including dealing with Breast Cancer and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is an excellent listener and positive person. I find she had a spiritual aspect to her. She is also a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and does Accupunture.
