Dr. Davis is an incredible doctor that has helped me so much over the years. He is very kind, patient and cares about helping the best he can. He gets amazing results. Maureen and also past receptionist Maria are both so wonderful and helpful too. I'm so grateful.

He's marvellous...I don't know just what he does to fix me up, but it works, when nothing else does. I've been a patient for 30+ years. I agree, punctuality is an issue, but he spends whatever time is required with each patient. I bring a good book or game with me and am prepared to wait. Colleen M.

Dr. Davis has changed my life and helped me function again after years of going to other practitioners. His work is life changing! I mean it.

Having a serious head injury, with all the craziness that that entails, and neck injury as a result, he has been the ONLY one to both listen to me and to have the expertise to work with my neck, to make the proper delicate adjustments resulting in the best changes for the better, moving back into health and functioning than any other practitioner out there. He takes a series of x-rays, studies them, and then on your 2nd visit, makes the most sublime, delicate adjustments, as dictated by your X-rays, to your neck. His treatments are gentle and highly effective as they help the mis-alignment align over time. The usual chiropractic method of forcing correct alignment right away has been highly detrimental for me; and, I will only see Dr. Davis and his magical way of treating for health and healing at this point.

He is simply an expert in his field. My hope is that Dr. Davis takes on an apprentice to learn from him as the lineage of his knowledge needs to continue to live and thrive in this world.

Maureen -- I only have the utmost respect and love for her. I've read through some of the comments here and am chuckling to myself. Listen, she's straight-forward and takes no baloney from anyone; however, with that straight-forwardness comes a stellar heart of care, concern, and loving presence that is available.

You simply need to treat her and Dr. Davis right -- i.e. with respect and integrity. Totally how I'd like to be treated too.

I've worked with Dr. Davis and Maureen since 2013 for a crazy debilitating head injury which also affected my neck, back, legs, feet, etc. He has been a life-saver. He is simply a phoneme. As a team, their sole desire to care for their patients in the most effective and fair way possible.

Bring a book. Drop into a deep meditation and breathe. Yes, you may need to wait.

There's a 3 month waitlist for new patients -- because he's simply swamped due to his expertise. But if you're a returning patient, they get you in asap!

All is well at the end of the day. Dr. Davis is simply the most amazing and effective healer I've come across on this journey back to health.

I have my life back because of him. I'm forever grateful.

Dr. Davis is one of the best chiropractor in the planet, I have had treatment with him over the last 15 years and my spine perfectly corrected , I had no my grain headache , no back pain for the last 15 years, once since a while i do come back for check up , Dr Davis would help you to fix the problem of your body , but you have to be patient , it will take time to heal , he is amazing . Maureen is a wonderful person , she always try her best to get you in to see Dr. Davis , I always find her very pleasure and understanding may be I am a nice person without hateful and bitter inside that create a negative influent .

Dr Davis is without a doubt an exceptionally gifted chiropractor. No, your problem is not necessarily corrected overnight, especially if it is chronic - because it can't be. Forcing you harshly into alignment can be a quick fix for pain but it doesn't correct the underlying problem. Dr Davis' approach is to help your body gradually adjust so it holds its alignment itself rather than you having to keep coming back again and again for a quick fix (trust me, there is a huge waitlist for new patients so they are not looking to keep you coming back when you don't need to). So I do recommend to anyone who doesn't have instant success to be patient (though absolutely voice your concerns - to Dr Davis, his wife is not the chiropractor).

As to Maureen, yes, she can be a little moody at times, though having been around the office I can say that the vast majority of times it is provoked by disrespectful or inconsiderate patients (the entitled attitudes from some people is unbelievable!!!), and it rarely ever is carried over to anyone else. She does NOT tolerate bullsh*t and will not kowtow to a patient just because they are a patient (again, they are not hurting for patients, if you abuse your privileges she will absolutely not put up with it). I am not a brownnoser, I am just ordinary friendly, but if I need to get in on short notice Maureen will find a way to make sure that it happens, no matter how busy they are - and this is one of the reasons they are sometimes quite backed up (though it is better than it used to be). If you are not a random patient, if you are even halfway polite and respectful (like actually apologize when you're late or forget an appointment), the office will absolutely make sure you are taken care of.

As to asking about the wait, I have done it myself, but I have also had discussions about how difficult it can be to predict. There can be a full wait room that clears out very quickly, and there can be one person in into and you can wait over an hour. It all depends on how many people need adjustments and how difficult those adjustments are. Yes, it sucks not to know how long your appointment might take (though there are times of day that are better for ensuring a shorter wait), but the upside is that when it is your turn, you will be given all the time you need, whether it's 5 minutes or an hour. That is the trade-off, but it is well worth it.

Yes, I agree with the other 2 comments. That Maureen Davis is a f------ b---- and will never go back again. I waited for 3 hours because of the backlog of people and when I saw him, he just looked at me, moved my neck in one position and said to stay like that for 10 minutes. After that he came back and said that should solve my pain. Like h--- it did, in fact it hurt even more. When I stated this to that b----, she just told me to look for another doctor which is the smartest thing she has ever told me. Never again.

Not a big fan, front office is poor as mentioned in other comments, and although he seems to care and want to help, he wasn't really doing much to help my back and kept insisting on working on my neck

FYI, be warned about the receptionist, Maureen Davis. I've never met such a terrible receptionist in my life. This woman seems to take pure delight and joy in others injuries and pain. She takes every opportunity possible to belittle and shame patients who are clearly in vulnerable states. She knows very well that these people need dire help from her husband John Davis; therefor she has his patients under her thumb as she is the gateway to him and can easily send patients away or not even get them into an appointment with him. She seems to be especially nasty to white woman 25-45 due to her own insecurity and jealousy, God only knows why? She was recently off work for a few months and since her return, her hands shake a lot. Maybe she has parkinson's? I've also witnessed her power tripping behaviour on other patients through guilt tripping, shaming and belittling- read the other patients comments about her below. Her main goal seems to be trying to raise herself up by putting others down. On the other hand, John Davis' other office assistant Susan, is absolutely wonderful and kind and really should be the only receptionist working for him. This review is based on my personal interactions with Dr John Davis' wife and receptionist, Maureen Davis and has absolutely no reflection on John Davis' NUCCA work.

I have been going to Dr Davis for 24 years on the recommendation of my mother. M6 brother comes back to vancouver 2 tim3s a year and checks in whether he needs an adjustment or not. too hold the adjustments for years. .none of this going back for 5 or 6 visits to get things right. If you don't get along with Maureen then it is you not her. She is is efficient and goes the extra steps to make sure you are looked after. My only worry is if they retire! I have been 5o others but he is THE BEST!
