Dr. Nieves did order quite a lot of tests for my mother, but in hind sight they were necessary. My grandmother had alzheimer's, and it would would have been very easy just to say that's what my mother has, I think she had grown up always thinking that was what was going to happen. After all the tests, we were given a diagnosis of Vascular Dementia, phew, what a relief. And my mom has gone on to live a very different life because of it, all thanks to Dr. Nieves. OK, the bed side manner is not all fuzzy and warm, but you decide what is most important; we did.

this woman had the worst bedside manner i've ever seen. she was raving, pmssing or something. she was insightful, but very indignant...challenged a diagnosis i had for years, which is a good thing, if it's not delivered in rageful type of way, examined very quickly and roughly, but gave ample time. the physician's asst. looked like she felt sorry for me. she ordered lots of diagnostics though, but couldn't be the least empathetic.
