He's a nice enought man. I knew him back in high school (Central Secondary School, London, Ontario). He later went to UWO. He practiced medicine in Georgia (in a suburb of Atlanta). I'd like to know why he left Georgia to practice medicine in Welland of all places. It's nice when a Canadian doctor 'comes home'. A decent, 'middle of the road' doctor.

One of the best doctors I've had since being back in Ontario now for 3 years. (We are among the few who have been lucky enough to get a 'regular' family doctor, but since he's been away we had to go to Dr Aksoy.) Dr Aksoy was very impressive. He immediately identified that our family doctor had prescribed the wrong kind of antibiotic for my child's infection (which has led to its repeated recurrence). I am finally confident that my child will recover. What this says about the state of health care in Ontario, I'm not sure. One thing I can say (having dealt with health care professionals now in 2 Canadian provinces and in Britain, is that the clinic system is preferable. Perhaps it's only that the doctors have to keep on their toes in order not to be caught out, I'm not sure. In any event, I'm tempted to continue using Dr Aksoy even if in a drop-in capacity only.

This doctor was so helpful. I came to see him at a walk-in-clinic. I had extreme pain (lower back), so he sent me to have an x-ray after examining me. He prescribed two types of medication, and I was back to work the next day. What I also really appreciated is that he is very professional, and friendly as well. Even though I'd never met him before, he made me feel comforatble as if he were my family doctor.

I also say this Dr at a walk-in-clinic. He came in said "hi", asked "how I was" and then walked right out of the room. He had lost something and finally asked another staff member to find it for him. Can back in and said "hi, how are you"..he must of fogot that he was just talking to me. Also took a personal call from a female who he suggested she wait a few minutes and he would call her back. He questioned me why other doctors had me on my medication...he was not the best with personality. By the time I was leaving I was red in the face from being annoyed with his attitude, felt like he was trying to prove that he was better then me. Not the nicest Dr I have ever dealt with, don't think I would go to this clinic again if he is there.

I went for a painful foot that I could not put pressure on, and I knew it wasn't broken. He had me in Xray immediately, suspected what it was, he was right, treated me, I was back to work the next day. He explained it more clearly than anyone has ever explained things, he was awesome!

Saw him at a walk-in clinic. Ever seen the TV show "House"? He's just like Dr. House in the show. Insisted I was pregnant even after I had told him I hadn't had sex in more than 3 mths. I went to him for chest pains. Made me take 2 urine & 1 blood test to check if I was pregnant. Did send me for ultrasound. Turns out it was my galbladder & I have a genetic liver disease. He said due to my being overweight. 1) He didn't weight me & didnt ask what I weighted 2) I diet & exercise daily & am far from being overweight. He took a personal call on his cell phone while I was in the office with him (it was Reader's Digest) & he on top of that, he was rude to the poor telemarketer & asked to speak to the supervisor. All this while I was waiting to see what we can do for the chest pains I had for 3 days.
