At first, Dr. Girschek felt like the best one around. Personable and caring. But then I realized he was consistently pushing for surgeries. So I went to another doctor and another and was told the surgery he had suggested was not needed. Same with my friend. Be very careful with this man.

Dr. Peter is amazing, but his secretary/wife, not really sure how that’s possible, because for being such a nice man, she is the absolute polar opposite. Nasty, rude, will not accommodate you even if it’s urgent. In all my years I have never come across someone who can raise my blood pressure so quickly. The doctor would really do himself a great service in his professional and private life to get rid of this nasty biddy!! Sorry Dr. Peter, but she really is awful and you deserve someone better. Keep up the excellent work with your patients. Oh and by the way, she won’t let anyone speak to you if they call. You should know that!!

Receptionist is the worst (1/5 is too good for her). I'm in healthcare, if the receptionist was treated the way she treats patients, only then will she understand the consequences of her actions. I call 250+ times this morning (over 2.5hours), went straight to vmail. Although, Dr. Girschek is a good doctor, he is doing a dis service to his profession, and more importantly to his patients by keeping his wife as a receptionist.

Dr. Gerschek is wonderful. His secretary however, never answers the phone, I tried faxing her and that also went unanswered. She is extremely rude to patients. Could use a course on customer service.

I was referred to ST. Mikes by my Optometrist due to high pressure in both eyes.

My eyesight has been impaired due to my cataracts. I cannot see out of one eye as it’s gotten severely bad. It has been over a year and a half. When I went to see him in October 2020 he neglected to tell me that he is retiring. To this date February 2021 I have not received a letter of referral to another ophthalmologist. Knowing that my eyesight has worsened, he should have referred me too private clinic gave me options. Very unprofessional. His receptionist was very flippant and insensitive to people’s feelings.
