This Dr.,when it comes to the Elderly needs not to practice with them, send them all on to Specialists to get the right diagnosis . My mother suffered thru alot waiting for him,in the end she ended up having Spinal cord Surgery and suffered thru alot of unneeded pain had Dr. Vanderkooy sent her on sooner to the Specialist like her family requested. The therapy she has to go thru is going to take a long time as Dr. Vanderkooy suggested it was OLD Age and nothing could be done.We are all very disappointed in Dr. Vanderkooy's practice and you must reconsider taking your aging parents to him, based on our experience with him and our loving trusting mother.

We feel this man is a very poor doctor. His lack of compassion and caring for his patients is very disturbing. Our mother trusted this man and he failed her. Now she has been in pain for months and it could have all been prevented by the doctor referring her sooner to a specialist. We are very upset with this doctor and would not recommend him to anyone

At this moment I have no good things to say about this Dr. My Mother has been in pain since Aug 2010 and attending to VanderKooy and he always attributes her aches and pain to old age and Diabetes. We finally got referred to a Specialist for a 2nd opinion and she is now down in London University Hospital awaiting spinal cord surgery. Now why could he not of been been knowledgeable and caring as to her condition. The family is VERY upset.

Was very frustrated and furious at the care my parents both recieved (lack of really, ranging from multiple misdiagnoses to refusing to send them to specialists) from him. His approach was to try one thing and if that didn't work then that's how God meant it to be. Is not up to date on current practices and use of medications. Thank goodness he went on vacation and my parents were both seen by a different MD. He should not be practicing.

Dr. Vanderquack...Nearly killed my son at childbirth...The Dr. was in a hurry during the childbirth because he didn't want to be late for church, yeah it was Sunday morning. The nurses attending where appalled and informed me that the birth should have been a “C” Section, instead forceps were used. My son developed complications due to this debacle including suffering from convulsions until he was 10 years old. This guy lives on a hobby farm; he should have been a Veterinarian not a MD.

Dr. Vanderkooy is a wonderful and compassionate doctor who really cares for his patients and his work. He has made numerous house calls to our home (who does that anymore?) and spends time listening and explaining things. Whoever wrote "I wouldn't send my pets to him" must be a very rude and vindictive person because Dr. Vanderkooy is an excellent doctor who has diagnosed and treated our family's health concerns in a extremely wise and professional manner.
