I went to Dr. Ramanan today as a new patient. His staff is courteous and professional. His nurse Lisa is amazing! The moment Dr. Ramanan came into the room he was smiling and thanked me many times for coming to the practice. He told me to sit in the chair rather than on the bed and I instantly felt at ease like I had known him forever. I told him about a cough that I have had for more than 3 years and have been tested for various things by many doctors over the years. He said he would figure it and after one test he came back into the room and showed me the report and told me that I have asthma. I could have cried because it's been a long time suffering from something needlessly. He taught me to use an inhaler and I left with a sense of ease. He then walked me to the front himself to get my next appointment. I could not be happier that I was referred to him. He is a fantastic Doctor. M. Smith

Dr. Ramanan terminated our relationship after about 15 years. One of my medications requires prior authorization yearly. My insurance company changed mail order pharmacy this year, when the doctor does not follow up with the prior authorization they send me a report with dates showing what was done and how they contacted the doctors office. Over the years Dr. Ramanan always put the blame on insurance company, when I let him know about this report showing his office was at fault he terminated our relationship and I was escorted out of the office. This has caused me a fair amount of distress, I thought Dr. R would be my doctor for many years to come, now I'm on a search for a new doctor. My opinion Dr. Ramanan has to many patients and maybe over stressed(wolf in sheep's clothing?)

I have been a patient of Dr. Ramanan since he began in the practice of Dr. Patel as has many members of my family. He is very professional and I find that he takes a very humanistic approach in dealing with patients. He takes the time to explain each and every test/procedure he recommends and the reason for them. He has never "rushed" me in and out of the exam room and has always taken time to answer any questions I have regardless of how trivial they may have sounded. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Ramanan to friends and family without hesitation. His office staff is cordial and friendly and always willinig to assist you.

I have been going to Dr. Ramanan's Clinton, MD office for the past 3 years. The staff is very friendly, personable, and prompt. I have never had to wait to be seen more than 10 minutes and am usually out of the office within 30-45 minutes from the time my appointment begins depending on what the visit is for. Dr. Ramanan is very personable and a pleasure to be around. He makes his patients feel at ease and explains everything in detail often times providing examples and illustrations. He is truly concerned about his patients' well-being and gets to know you on a personal level. He is very knowledgable and truly wants whats best for you.

I think Dr. Ramanan is a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients. He is very good at diagnosing any condition and discussing treatment options. He spends time explaining everything and is very patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good internal medicine doctor.

Dr. Ramanan is the kindest, most patient, informative, caring Doctor that I have ever had. I have been a patient almost 10 years. He is punctual, takes time to listen to any concerns I may have. He schedules any necessary treatments (i.e, mammograms, bone scans, echo cardiograms, blood work) and follows up on any other treatments that I, as a breast cancer survivor needs. I came to him after my treatments for breast cancer. He takes time to talk and follow up on any activities between visits.

The doctor is wonderful, knowledgable and caring. The office staff is polite and prompt when I ask for a referral. I did not rate highest because when you call for advice by phone it could take up to 48 hours for a response. Called at 11:00 am for advice on medication for back pain for a patient that is on several medications and allergic to NSAIDS. No response at 4 pm and she I called was told doctor had not yet responded and they may call me in the am. Frustrating.

Dr Ramanan is a very caring and warm doctor-he takes the time to hear you out and explains what his diagnosis is-he doesnt talk down to you and is genuinely concerned about his patients. The problem with most people is that they expect thier doctor to be at thier beckon call and seem to forget that they are human beings too. Medicine is a science and I believe this doctor does his very best to make his patients happy.
