I cannot believe that I just got quoted $17k for a laparoscopic hysterectomy by Dr Talat Uppal. There are way better and more qualified gynaecological surgeons in Sydney who don't charge anywhere near that amount. And she says she is passionate about women's health. Only if you can afford it!!!

I came in to get reviews and have left confused. My experience of her bedside manner to date is exceptional. I could not rate her highly enough, she listened, paused, listened some more. Showed and demonstrated her knowledge, went slow etc. told me to ponder and read up and consider it. Don’t rush into a decision and all my choice etc… Didn’t push me at all. however, a red flag is that my sister also saw her and we both got the same recommendation of hysterectomy. Fine I thought , we do both have the same condition, but at 12k a surgery… I am now wondering if this is a money spinner?

However, these negative reviews really do have a feel of just one obsessed patient giving multiple negative reviews ….

Being told to go away and read was the last thing I expected as the result of a $500 consult. I am disappointed that my consult proved to be nothing more than a gathering of my health details. I didn’t get a prescription for hormone replacement which I need and was refused by my old fashioned male GP. All my tests were done and I have no need for a physio appointment- in house, that we didn’t discuss , or for another expensive consult. If a specialist gynaecologist can’t be of help, I don’t recommend that you see them as there is better help elsewhere.

Do not recommend. Not genuine, pretends to be but really doesn’t have your best needs at the forefront … duty of care to her patients do not match with her pretended empathetic nature. I won’t go into how she has left me , but to say she has scarred me for life , physically and mentally is an understatement.

First doctor to take my pain seriously and help me after years of struggling to be heard. Extremely kind and holds your hand during pre-op prep. Really mindful of past trauma and anxiety, she will even play music for you if you're stressing about being examined. The clinic is also really responsive to any queries you might have, it's a nice change as I have had plenty of specialists who charge you upwards of $350 per consult and won't even provide a simple clarification over the phone regarding medication dosages.

I had a horrible experience with her she told me I needed at $600 scan to find endometriosis and then said it should be fixed with Pyhsio when I addressed my concerns of being infertile she completely dismissed it saying it’s not something you have to worry about now. Really upset I got a second opinion and was booked in for surgery and they removed a large amount of endometriosis (more then they were expecting) sine then I have been so reassured and pain free I would NOT recommend this DR

Dr Uppal and her colleagues make you feel very comfortable and understood. The care is seamlessly integrated, specialist and for whole of life. Highly recommend putting your health in these brilliant women’s hands.

Dr Talat and her Women's Health Road practice were so efficient and helpful in regards to my gynaecology needs. I had been experiencing a long-standing issue and as a woman, had always neglected it as I thought that it was "just something women go through". Dr Talat had been recommended by a friend and I am so grateful I went to her for care. I felt very comforted in the fact that she cares for many women going through similar issues. and always felt very supported throughout my journey. Thank you Dr Talat!
