I saw Dr. Michael D. Mills two years ago after I saw another eye specialist who had messed up both my eyes after an operation for glaucoma. This Specialist kept making all kinds of lame excuses for the problems that I was encountering for several months after the operation that was causing me to have problems with the sight of both eyes as he wanted me to pay him for the laser treatment which OHIP covers and I refused to do so. I eventually saw Dr. Mills who literally saved my sight in both my eyes. Dr. Mills was very respectful, thorough, honest, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. On my first visit his promptness and his concern saved my eyesight in both eyes. I was his last patient on that cold and snowy day. I saw him around 6 P.M. that Thursday and he was very tired. When he saw me and discussed what his findings were and what the X-Rays showed I realized then how bad my situation was. He told me that he had to operate on my both eyes right away to save my eyesight . He showed me what had to be done and explained everything to me. I told him that I could not pay for the laser treatment and he explained to me that OHIP covers it and that the specialist that I saw before had no right to ask me to pay for the laser treatment. The sight in both my eyes are good and I am very grateful today thanks for the concern and good heart and dedication of Dr. Michael D. Mills.

Arrogant and impatient with me. I’m hearing impaired and he told me in a condescending tone “you need hearing aids”

I waited several months to finally get an appointment to see Dr. Mills. It was absolutely worth the wait as Dr. Mills is excellent. He's very thorough in his examination of both of my eyes and especially my left eye which has a large blind spot. I needed his expert diagnose that my eyes had no other serious urgent medical problems. Although he was very busy with several patients still waiting, he took time to explain to me and my daughter the problem with my left eye and what I need to do to prevent it from getting worse. I am most grateful to this ophthalmologist for his diagnosis and advice.

Dr. Michael Mills was pleasant and I was so happy that he agreed to see me quickly (within 2 days) when a referral was made to him after my double cataract surgery. He took the time to explain my test results verbally and then showed me on his computer screen my retinal hole. He calmly explained my treatment options. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and alleviated my concerns.
The office itself is very busy and you have to wait for testing and getting to see the doctor, but I found all the staff to be helpful and courteous.

Most ARROGANT Doctor I came across , he did not answered my questions , was in rush , funny part is he asked me to read about my eye problem on internet . Cherry on the top was when he asked me to click the photo of his computer where he was writing notes . Means he has no time to explain, He was rude no doubt and did not show any courtesy to understand my anxiety . I am feeling mentally tortured after visiting him. Doctors should be humble not cold and angry face types . I won’t recommend this Doctor to anyone.
