Dr. Stare seems very pleasant but it was not worth it to wait 1 and half hours with my twin 2 month children to see her. Then it took another half hour to go through our medical history??? Look at the referral. It tells you everything. I don't know of any profession that this would be considered acceptable especially for a specialist dealing with children. How can they logically have children waiting this long??? A pediatrician out of all types I doctors should know this is impossible.
Won't go back based on wait time.

We only just went back to see Dr. Stare for the first time in almost three years. Luckily my child is never sick and anytime he has had to see someone, it has always warranted an ER visit, not just a doctors appointment (ie sutures). I remember why I hated going to her. As per her cold, heartless receptionist, her time is obviously much more valuable than mine, hence why I have always had to wait at least 30-45 mins or clearly, again, her secretary (who is the rudest, unfriendly person I've ever had to deal with I must mention) does not know how to book appointments. I have worked in a doctors office and there is no reason why patients should have to wait that long, especially with young kids. Also, a lot of the time, you expect to see Dr. Stare and you end up seeing one of her associates. I have faith in Dr. Stare but unfortunately her secretary might just be enough to send us away again.

Dr Stare was my child's doctor and was recommended by another trusted doctor. We saw her ONCE in 2.5 years. Every time my child needed to go to the doctor, they were always full and told me to go to a walk in clinic. For check ups, We never got to see Dr Stare, We always saw whomever was available. I find this very unprofessional. I wanted myself and my child to establish a relationship with his doctor, That is how it should be, But we never got to see her and when I asked about this, I was told I had to book an appointment with her 2 MONTHS in advance! That is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional in my opinion. I've spoke to other doctors in the same building who agree also.
The receptionist is the rudest woman I have ever spoke to or dealt with. I have terminated our relationship with this office and would not recommend them to anyone.

Dr Stare is amazing. She is so warm and caring and listens well to our thoughts and concerns. She is the first doctor I have truly trusted with my daughter. Dr Stare has called us over the weekend when she had new ideas about treatment, or stayed late into the evenings phoning parents back after busy days at her office. She is THE BEST!!

Dr. Stare is thorough, caring, warm, and wonderful with kids. Unfortuantely her receptionist is so belligerent, rude and condescending that we switched physcicians a year ago because I don't feel like I need to have a fight or to be verbally harangued every time I need an appointment. There is something wrong with tolerating this extremely poor and disrespectful treatment of patients on a constant basis.

Dr. Stare is great. She is a wealth of knowledge and has been right on with any issue my kids have ever had. Unfortunately its been harder and harder to see her and she always has a replacement in for her. I often don't know that until I arrive. Her real downfall though is her front office staff. She is someone who should work with a pathologist not a pediatrician. I hate even calling the office because I have to deal with her. When I try to book an appointment she doesn't ask what time of day is convenient she simply advises me of a time she has and then is annoyed if I happen to have work etc.. at that time and need a different one.

Dr. Stare is wonderful. I have total confidence in her as my children's doctor. However, as mentioned in previous ratings, the front desk is lacking the personality of someone dealing with the public. Not just any public but parents/caregivers who are generally uneasy about bring their sick ones to the doctors. The sad thing is that you don't even need to make it to the doctor's office to experience the your bothering me kind of attitude. The phone call to make the appointment is torture enough. It makes you not even want to call. The doctors really should evaluate the front desk's coldness and lack of empathy to the adults and children coming into a ped's office.

Wonderful doctor! Kind, caring and willing to answer questions. While I agree the front office staff can appear/sound cold I think the other comments are a bit harsh. She is professional just does not display the same warm caring nature we love of Dr Stare. I mentioned this once and I truly believe it will be addressed and that everyone needs an opportunity to understand how others perceive them in order to make improvements in customer service.
