Overall, great surgeon. A little hard to understand as he speaks very quickly, but very friendly, personable, and has great bedside manner. The staff at the Innisfail hospital were very knowledgeable and kind with pre surgery explanations and care and post op recovery.

I was referred to Dr Neira for a breast reduction. My family Dr had also had her reduction by Dr Neira in 2018. I loved Dr Neira’s enthusiasm and confidence in the procedure and felt comfortable with him immediately. I am healing well and over the moon with my results. I also love Misty, Dr Neira’s receptionist. She was kind and patient when my nerves got the best of me and always made me feel better. I would recommend Dr Neira 1000 times over!

I was referred to Dr. Neira for top surgery, and felt a bit nervous about it after reading some of the reviews on here. However, my experience with him was truly excellent, I am healing very well, and I am thrilled with the results.

had trigger finger surgery. now my hand has never been the same, constant pain. he said the stitches would dissolve but they stayed in for well over a month. no after surgery information. stay away from this doctor

I had carpal tunnel surgery, I had relief for a week and then hand started going numb. Called immediately, I was loosing feeling in my hand, I got in right away. Dr. Neira just told me to keep moving it. I brought to his attention that he informed me that after 2 weeks I’d have full use of my hand but it was getting worse by the day. I put myself into physio to try to regain feeling and movement and went back to Dr, as it was worse. Nurse that was t good to come right in. I was told again to just keep it moving which I was doing all day and night. Never listened to anything I said. He told me it could be 6 + months for it to heal. After 6 months of laser therapy and physio it was so bad, loosing feeling throughout my hand. I got a referral to another Dr, and was sent to get a nerve test. I was loosing all use and nerves were damaged. The new Dr said I needed to get into surgery right away before permanent damage of nerves and full loss of my hand. Terrible Dr, doesn’t listen to his patients. Wish I got a referral after the first time he didn’t listen to me.

I had top surgery from him in 2018. It was HORRIBLE! I am now sick for life, because I had a hematoma for 7 weeks and his office would not pick up the phone. I wound up with serious infections that almost left me septic. When you have your first look at your chest, you’re supposed to feel amazing, and I was left horrified thinking he forgot one due to the hematoma. I also split open and heavily bled the night of my surgery and all they did was put a giant bandage over it, never thought once to open my bandages and see what was happening. Not only that but my nipple grafts turned black and got infected and fell off, he also left horrible dog ears as well. I haven’t worked a day since and I’m now on the process of being put on AISH because the infections triggered an autoimmune disease. I highly suggest you find a new doctor.

I had FTM top surgery in December. The results are beautiful and masterfully done. The healing process had essentially no issues and I feel great already after about a month of recovery. Dr. Neira is a wonderful person and all his staff in the office and in the hospital were helpful and professional. When I felt fear going into the surgery and awakening, I was always reassured and helped out by staff. Dr. Neira can sometimes be hard to understand because of his quick-paced speech and excitability, but that never prevented me from eventually understanding procedures and what I would be expected to do upon recovery. I was always provided sheet copies of instructions and what to expect.
I am very happy with the results. If someone is queueing for any surgery Dr. Neira specializes in, I would 100% recommend his work.

I had bilateral mastectomy with Dr. Neira and had read so many articles online that I was scared. When I went in for my meet and greet, I was put at ease immediately. Normally, I prefer serious, professional doctors -- which Dr. Neira absolutely is!!!! He brought a fun, whimsical, easy going attitude that I desperately needed. He put my mind at ease that he has a plethora of experience with this type of surgery and was confident with the results that I would have.

On the day of the surgery, he came in, marked me up and again put my mind at ease that I would have an easy time during my healing process if I adhered exactly to his recommendations -- and he was right! I am not a "bruiser" so had very little bruising. I was very very sore, but did exactly as he instructed and am incredibly happy with the result.

Fast forward 7 days after surgery.... I went in to see Dr. Neira to have my dressings changed, two nurses and Dr. Neira thought I was 2 weeks into my healing instead of 1 week.

Dr. Neira has a funny personality, but is very kind, understanding and knowledgable. I highly recommend him to anyone having a cosmetic surgery that they are afraid of. He will do wonders for you!!!! Thank you so very much!

I am beyond grateful and absolutely inlove with my results from Dr Neira. He took his time with my Top Surgery and gave me the chest that I’ve always dreamt of. Aftercare is very important and he explained exactly what to do and how to take care of my incisions. I am forever grateful for the amazing work he has done.

I am BEYOND pleased with my results. My scars are thin and healing very well.

Dr Neira was incredible to deal with from the consultation to surgery day. His team is extremely supportive and gender affirming.
