I don't really understand most of the reviews. Maybe I am being naive. But I know the staff there has always been so nice. I did however, notice a high staff turn over. No one mentioned the room, which leaves me wondering. That would be my main gripe. Thy are so very small! It's not a beautiful dental office, if that's what you're looking for. I've been seeing him for 8 years, give or take. He's very quiet, gentle and he does explain without being asked to. But ...he seems to leave the room quickly. He told me he works and lives in California... and flies back and forth. Well, that is a possibility. But a few years later when I mentioned it, it seemed he wasn't going there any longer. These are the qualms I suppose I have as far as he's concerned. But I'm an introvert so I can relate to his quiet manner. I hate small talk. I want service. He has provided that. I never felt cheated. I never felt any pain from any under freezing. My fillings have been just fine. Antibiotics were never, ever pushed. He always shows me the x rays. The technician/ assistant pulls them out and he comes and explains. When I refuse X-rays there is never any pressure whatsoever for me to get them. I could go on. There are a number of things I can address.

Stay far away from Dr Alan! He seems knowledgeable... until he does actual work. I had pain and discomfort for months after seeing him and found out from another dentist that he botched every single surgery he did on me and I now need to have minimum 4 surgeries to fix what he messed up. I'm now living a nightmare I couldn't have imagined!

I don’t even know where to start. Alan Kwong Hing is a absolutely terrible dentist. If you disagree then you have not been to very many others or all you got was a simple cleaning.

I have seen close to 10 different dentist over my lifetime from different places I have lived and I have never seen such a terrible dentist in my life.

He did more worse than good. I had dental implants put in about 8 months ago from him and over 6 of my implants are loose and they twist. These are supposed to be good for life. I tried to take my Harley for a ride this spring but I can’t because my implants hurt and vibrate way to much.

I booked an appointment to show him and he said it’s normal for the first year or two. A friend of mine has gotten implants as well and said he never had one issue and it’s like they are his normal teeth. Mine rattle against each other, twist and hurt.

I have seen another REAL dentist since then and I am now perfectly fine 1 month afterwards. I’m eating hard foods again as well. Thank you to all the real dentist out there.

Dr. Al is nice to talk to however, I won't be going back there because I felt like I was overcharged ALL the time since I have insurance. I went for 1 visit and they charged me for almost the max of my coverage - it is for only ONE visit. The work wasn't good and told me he couldn't do it so he referred me to someone else but i don't have insurance anymore because I paid all of it for 1 visit. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO GO. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. The staff are also a bit rude and not very good customer service. They also do not offer direct billing so you ALL have to pay upfront. If you don't have any insurance, then good luck.

It's clear to me by looking at so many of these 5-star reviews that refer to him as "Dr.Al" with no space between those two words that they are fake reviews. I agree with the OTHER reviews regarding Dr. Hing always looking to do work I don't need. Also, on my last (and final visit) he did an entire filling replacement where I only needed a superficial repair. He under-anesthetized me, resulting in shooting pain, yet he just continued what he was doing despite me being on the verge of a minor meltdown in his chair. And he left that same filling with a jagged edge which constantly shreds the floss I'm trying to use. Run fast, run far, far away from this guy. He's a hack.

Visited for an emergency appointment. It was one of the best dental experiences I have ever had. I usually have anxiety to be in a dental office however, Dr.Al handled my procedure with most care, professionalism and in an efficient manner.
