Craig Fielding is a hack that only thinks about the money he can make. Any questions about insurance coverage were immediately dismissed. He messed up a simple cyst removal behind my ear. This guy should be put in jail. Check Google reviews, similar experiences from many people. Beware this doctor.

I have nothing but good things to say about him. I went for gynecomastia surgery back on September 3rd, I am now 3 weeks post op and the results are amazing. He was very knowledgeable on the subject and was able to answer all of my questions. I did the surgery through local as well and it was not a dull moment and he had many interesting things to say during the surgery as well. I'm not too sure about all of the negative comments on here saying he missed some gyno or was rude because my experience was perfect. One thing you have to realize is that all cases of gyno are different, there are many different grades you could have so results may vary. Also don't believe everything people say without doing your own research. What made me more comfortable was realizing that none of the people making bad claims had any proof of this. Where as you can go on places like reddit and see actual proof from the people who are saying that he did a good job. So at the end of the day I think it was the best 3 grand that I've spent in my life and I look forward to living the rest of my life with the chest I should've had from the beginning.

I originally left a bad review because I still had puffy nipples months after gynecomastia surgery with Dr. Fielding but he insisted it was scar tissue. It's almost three years after my surgery now and I must say, he did a great job and my chest is like 95% better. He could have taken out a bit more tissue but honestly can't complain. I was pissed for a while but eventually my nipples almost completely flattened out and the scars are almost invisible. I am so glad I got the surgery and saving a few thousand dollars with Fielding definitely doesn't suck either. Also he was super nice and chatty to me.

Horrible experience. I thought his receptionist was the worst person I ever met...then I went into his office and came face to face with this butcher.
He asks questions and then talks over your answer. Once he established my financial standing (not enough disposable income to interest him), he basically dismissed me and barely addressed the issue I came to see him about and walked out of the room (I waited 4 months to see him).
Someone should remind a guy like this that 'Doctors' are here to help people...it's not simply about billing.
Do yourself a favour and find another surgeon or just buy an Exacto knife and do it yourself...from reading his other reviews below, you'll do a better job.

Sadly like many others I'm a victim of his terrible gynecomastia job. He simply cut out a piece of the gland beneath the nipple but left the entire base of the gland in. I only had a mild case to begin with and would say after surgery is hardly a 10% improvement. He claims it's "scar tissue" which is absolute bs, it's still the exact shape, size, position and texture it always was minus the little bit he cut out and I can feel it. Still puffy when not erect and visible through shirts. I didn't pay $3500 for a 10% improvement and deformation on the left side when I flex due to the gland remaining. What's worse is he has the nerve to say "you notice it more than other people". He so detached from his patients emotions. I don't care what other people think I care about what I think, and it's been crippling for me for years since I developed gyno after chemotherapy. It's been a year now and I'm nervous to even get a correction done by him. He has given me two shots of kenalog since he's adamant that the remainder is scar tissue and neither shot has done anything yet he claims "it's getting smaller". Total fraud, thought he's supposed to be a specialist. I know he's cheaper but paying someone else a bit more for a job well done is SO worth it over the nightmare he causes. Also his receptionist is nice but gave me the wrong time for my surgery. Was supposed to be at 8:30 am, didn't get in till 2:30. How do you even get it so wrong. Avoid avoid avoid.

Went for a consultation and he made me feel comfortable, got to know me a bit, was very friendly, and he is a very knowledgable surgeon and went into detail and explained everything, and made sure I was aware of potential risks too. I'm probably going to book with him.

And contrary to what some other reviews say, he has great bedside manner. And the secretary it nice too.

He left a chunk under my left nipple and it hurts and aches still. I even wore the vest a little bit longer than he asked.

I don't want to go into too much detail about my experience with Dr Fielding. I had an average case of gynocomestia, with both glandular tissue and fat. I went to do the first surgery and costed me just over 3000. I was very happy to finally get this done as I had this issue all my life. The surgery consisted of excision and liposuction and performed under general anesthesia. I was happy with how it looked at the very beginning still very early in the stages of post op but as it came time to completely remove my vest after over a month and a bit I still had size and sagging and wasn't happy. I followed all his instructions after the post op consultation and did the massage etc. A year after the surgery I went back to him to do a follow up surgery to remove more of the size which he said would only require liposuction under local anesthesia. This second surgery costed just under 2000. This surgery left unevenness, lump and some crater, and one side is not symmetrical to the other and I still have significant size, sagging, and a bit of "pointyness". I went to the beach the other day and felt uncomfortable... before I would feel uncomfortable due to having what looked like a woman's chest now I feel unconformable for having size and deformity. This is very depressing, and I am trying to save money and hopefully enough of it to afford a 3rd surgery by another local to Toronto plastic surgeon who could possibly fix me up permanently. Please don't cheap out on this surgery for $2000... find another doctor even if he's that much more expensive as the results are permanent and the not the headache and disappointment...

My experience with Dr. Fielding was excellent. I had an excision for Gynecomastia with him last week. In the waiting room I re-read some of these ratings and completely stressed myself out. My experience has been tremendous though. I’m so glad I got this done.

It may seem at times like he’s not spending quite enough time preparing, but in hindsight I think it’s a symptom of his experience with the procedure. Hes sort of just going through the motions.

One thing: the post-op is more uncomfortable than you’ll be led to believe. Not *painful,* but uncomfortable. Set aside at least five days for nothing but rest.

Two hours ago I saw my chest for the first time since the surgery. It’s like ten years of shame has been lifted off my chest (pun intended).
