Where do I begin…. I was referred to Dr Hassan from a personal friend who also happens to be the doctor that delivered my two children. This was my first surgery in my 67 years. Needless to say, I was beyond nervous not knowing what to expect. I had a severe deviated septum, and tissue damage from using too much nose spray. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Hassan, I was put at ease. He is kind and gentle and listened to what I had to say and answered all of my questions throughly. Fast forward one week after my surgery and I haven’t felt this good in twenty years. Thank you Doctor Hassan, you’ve changed my life!!!

Amazing doctor and surgeon! He’s been taking care of my son for 5 years and my daughters since birth. When my daughter needed tubes in her ears he was the only doctor I would let touch her. My confidence in him rates above anything I could give here. Even though her procedure was 15 minutes, I cried the whole time waiting and when he came out I saw his big smile and he said “come on!! I would never let anything happen to her, she did great!” In a few years my son will need surgery on his nose and even if he’s practicing across the country, I’m flying there for him to do the surgery on him. My son also wrestles so he’s always in danger of hurting his nose or breaking it. Dr. Hassan told me if he’s ever hurt we should go straight to him no matter what day and he will treat him before anyone else does immediately. He’s the most amazing doctors and we’re blessed to have found him!

After an hearing test administered by this doctor was given. I developed life changing debilitating symptoms where it’s severely worsening of chronic tinnitus ringing in ears and whole head with electrical noises static is occurring nonstop after this test. I struggle to sleep in a daily basis after or to do daily activities. The test seems off how the audiologist made the beeps and tone fast paced which seems that it would definitely affect the brain or ear system. I also developed tremors, worse severe headache and difficulty functioning normal activities. I had explained that I had worse tinnitus after earwax removal and upon speaking to another audiologist, the audiologist said they are supposed to be more careful but they were not. I went to this doctor to get help but instead i got chronic symptoms 100x worse than before. HUGE mistake

I have been a patient of doctor Hassan for about 9 years. He is an excellent doctor. Although Dr Hassan is in high demand, he takes the time out to answer all your questions and makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend him.

PLEASE SEE THIS DOCTOR! HE IS AMAZING! Dr. Hassan is the most knowledgable and caring ENT ever. After having difficult experience with an ENT I saw before him...he treated me sucessfully for a sinus infection and strep. Dr. Hassan is very much in demand BUT still takes the time out to answers all questions, give specific helpful instructions and is on hand anytime you need him. He was very accssible and went above and beyond. He is the kindest most dignified doctor I've ever seen. I have since recommend him to family members and friends who are singing his praises! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DOCTOR. My father had sinus surgery with this doctor. This is a very sensitive operation in which you flush the sinuses. The surgery lasts about an hour which includes anesthesia. It happens in their own hospital room. About two and a half weeks later, on WEDNESDAY night, at about 9:30PM, he had started to bleed very heavily. At the emergency room of our town hospital, the emergency room called and paged this doctor over and over again. They were trying their best to do everything they can to handle the bleeding. However, Dr. Sherif Hassan never had the courtesy to call back or answer the emergency room. Finally, his partner, Dr. Michael Katz just after 4:30 in the morning. He had called my sister's phone, because my sister was calling as well, but of course my sister was asleep at the time. The emergency room compacted and closed my father's nose by filling the nose with balloons. This put an end to 4 hours of intense bleeding, in which my father was extremely tired, dizzy, and lightheaded. The ENT from the emergency room came out and checked the nose, and had explained to us that he MUST be seen by Dr. Sherif Hassan at his office in Rutherford, or at the hospital in Hackensack in about 48 hours to pull the balloons out from his nose. On Friday night (after the 48 hours), we took my father to Hackensack hospital, and went through the same drama. Dr. Sherif Hassan did not care to see us or speak to us. He made it clear that he would not see us unless we come to his office on MONDAY, which would be a whole 5 days after. He never bothered to care or even speak to his patient, my father. Although my father was left with an extreme nose and throat infection, he did not care at all. This nose and throat infection left him unable to speak, eat, or even have sleep. It was an awful experience. This was Friday. Saturday morning, my mother called an abundance of other doctors, as we needed to take the things out from his nose. However, every single doctor explained to us that they could not help us without going through Dr. Sherif Hassan, and that he would hold every other doctor responsible if done so. We went to Morristown Memorial hospital, and we went through the same exact drama. Today, Monday morning, we went to Dr. Sherif Hassan's office. We were told that he went on vacation for the day, and that we will see his partner, Dr. Michael Katz. We saw his partner, and he began to complain to us that we went to the hospitals. We explained to him that it was urgent that the nose balloons were to be taken out after 48 hours, and it's been a whole 5 days. He did not seem to care, and he decided to name some other doctors that we could see instead of him and his partner. These doctors are not doctors that care for their patients, but they are businessmen that want to milk your insurance money and never see you again. I warn you not to see these doctors for any operation. See them at your own risk.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hassan's since 2007 and highly recommend him as he is amazing. He really listens to you and doesn't discount something because it doesn't fit an expectation. He treats you with care and attentiveness. He's treated family as well as friends whom I have recommended and they all say how wonderful he is. In an age where going to the doctor feels more like being in an assembly line, Dr. Hassan breaks the mold, he treats his patients like people not a chart.

I have been going to dr. Hassan with my daughter's recurring ear infections for a long time. I saw him myself with strep throat couple times. Sometimes you understand during the visit that he is very busy and doesn't have much time but you dont feel rushed as others doctors can make you. He tries to be detailed and thorough as much as possible and has excellent bedside manner. I wish he was pediatrician as my toddler hates all other doctors
