Medicare
Diagnosed with GERD even though I was turning yellow, urinating sunkist orange & had elevated liver enzymes earlier that day, labs not rechecked on the bounce back to the ER. Given a shot of Dilaudid and another GI cocktail - sent home. Bounced backed a few days later to the ER (got sick of the cat and mouse game - after all it was "just GERD") with same symptoms only turning more yellow and still urinating sunkist orange....turned out to be a bile stone obstruction. Liver functions were throuh the roof. 5 day hospital stay. Pershing totally missed the ball.
