I switched doctors years ago, just found out about this site. I’m reviewing in hopes this will save people time. Andrusky was my doctor for 3 years and the worst / upsetting experience. She has zero bed side manor, always made me feel like I was an inconvenience, never heard me when I spoke, she would assume she heard from a few key words and give me advice on a problem I didn’t have. Don’t waste your time, find a different doctor!

Dr Andrusky is more than a doctor, she's a support system. Thank you for your years of helping me and my family.

So sad to hear she's leaving. Dr. Andrusky you will be incredibly missed. I always felt super comfortable with you and I know my kids did too. All the best to you and thanks for being the best doctor around.

Dr Kathryn Andrusky has been nothing but punctual and extremely professional with myself and my son. She is open to natural methods that have been proven and has always been willing to spend the time needed to discuss health issues and concerns. She's gone over and above any family Dr I've encountered! Wishing Dr Andrusky much wellness.

Dr. Andrusky is extremely unprofessional, rude and has the worst bedside manner. She has a policy of answering only two questions per visit!!!

Dr. Andrusky has been my GP for several years now. Unfortunately, a recent health crisis has caused me to consider finding a new family doctor. When I went for my annual physical in June 2016, she felt it was not necessary to run the usual tests as the ones the previous year were normal. I guess this is called "best practice" rationale. I continued to feel unwell for the rest of the year, and visited her office in November 2016 at which time bloodwork, ultrasounds and X-rays were urgently ordered. By 3 pm on the same day of that appointment/testing, Dr. Andrusky's nurse called me to tell me that I needed to go to the nearest ER for a blood transfusion. I would have expected Dr. Andrusky to call me herself with a little more explanation than that! Thus began the most scariest ordeal of my life. I was admitted to hospital the same day for transfusions and told I had a large mass on one ovary/suspected ovarian cancer. I was referred to the Cross Cancer Institute and a little over two weeks later, I had surgery to remove the 30 cm mass, as well as a complete hysterectomy and removal of ovaries. Miraculously, the tumour was found to be benign and I am recovering nicely. However, not once during my recent health crisis did Dr. Andrusky call or check in on me to see how I was doing. Her disregard for my wellbeing has me looking for a more caring and compassionate family doctor. :(

I am very dissapointed with the style of care offered today. I came down with a horrible infection last night. When I called to make an appointment to see the Dr today, I was informed that since I had not been in for an annual checkup, that this was not possible. And the earliest they could get me in for an annual exam was 16 days into the future. So when asked if the office sends reminders for the patients to book an annual exam they said no, there is too many patients to do that for.
As a healthy patient who does not require care all that often. The one time in the past 3 years that I desperately need attention, I am turned away.
This is a very backward way of doing business that is essentially setting the patient behind profits.

Horrible staff... Doctor is always away/sick/or doing something else during business hours, but never helping her patients. Try a different doctor while you can.

Kathryn Andrusky ( notice I did not address her as Doctor !) Either she is off speaking at conferences / hospitals or on Medical leave or Holidays or TWITTER! Not sure why she has a practice other than the fact she can charge people for a missed or late appointment. Her office can call and cancel your appointment 20 minutes before the time but if you try that you are charged. You are left waiting for her but if you look on line she is on twitter asking people to provide feed back on Alberta health and how to improve it. DO your JOB Katheryn treat the patience you have that have entrusted you with their health stop making them wait for months on end to TRY and get a phantom appointment that most likely will be cancelled in the end, also look at the turn around of medical assistants she has ? I do not think they like to work with her either because they are the ones taking the complaints from the patience not her! IT is a sad day when you can not even get proper medical care anymore!
