Dr. Manchikanti has been my family physician for 13 years. He's consistently demonstrated that he knows my family and I very well, and remembers even small details about us. He's witnessed my own medical changes over the years, and has demonstrated a high level of care, concern, and knowledge in dealing with any issues my family and I have experienced individually. His demeanor is consistently uplifting without being imposing. He's a fantastic listener, and I feel understood when discussing my health with him.

The clinic's staff are very patient, kind and accommodating. Dr Manchikanti's availability and punctuality are the best I've experienced over several family GPs I've had in my life, as I've moved across the country a few times.

I feel privileged to have him as a family doctor; and he's definitely set the bar high as far as GPs go.

My last doctor told me I was getting cysts because my clothes were too tight. I went to Dr. Manchikanti and he diagnosed me with hidradenitis suppurativa. I went years being undiagnosed and riddled with scars. He introduced me to a dermatologist that specializes in my condition and now I take Humira. Less inflammation and barely get cysts. I'm lucky he is a doctor that actually cares about my health.

This doctor is not credible, in my opinion. Once I saw hime for an ice pick headache and he just said "I don't know". I ended up at emergency where it was diagnosed as an infected hair follicle and the pain was from that. I saw him this week for a rash and he actually asked me why I had come in. I said "are you serious"? He said yes, and if the rash didn't itch (it didn't) why did I come in. I felt the visit was a complete waste of my time. I have the feeling he likes some people and not others, which is why there are mixed reviews on this site.

I was in chronic pain for over a year. He didn't show much sympathy, and seemed annoyed to see me. Despite being his client for an entire year, he still treated me like a "new client".

I've been seeing Dr. Manchikanti for 8 years. He is kind, professional, patient, knowledgeable and thorough. Even more importantly, he does not assume he is a specialist in any area - if you have concerns that go beyond family medicine, he does not hesitate to refer you to the appropriate professional.

This is the worst doctor I have seen in Edmonton. He told me to my face, I had two separate infections (in my throat and finger) and did NO assessment. He asked no questions, no symptoms, timelines, nothing. He didn't physically examine me. He didn't offer me any treatment. I have been sick for 2 months and he didn't even question anything and walked out of the room. He was rude, unwilling to ask questions and did not even do the basics of a health care professional, let alone a physician. Do not see this doctor.

Gives me more than the "token" 10 minutes many doctors give patients for an office visit.
Follows up on test results i.e will call me if anything abnormal appears on tests and takes great interest in my physical and mental health. Also excellent at following up with specialists if I need to see one.
