Not always correct in her dealings with patient.

Have been going to Dr Jamil as my primary. I can guess each time i go on what to expect. She has very poor bedside manner and i find her very impersonable and she will not really listen to you. She does not act like she cares. I am in the process of changing to another Doctor. I have needed help on prescriptions and every time i call i get a run around or my call does not get returned.

Dr. Jamil is smart as a whip and very friendly. She is a no-nonsense doctor who cares about her patients and will do whatever she can to make you better. I like that she errs on the side of caution by ordering tests before drugs. Dr. Jamil helped to save my life; if not for her I would have had a very different existence. 5 STARS!!!

She has NO bedside manner at all! I have been to her only because my regular PCP was not in. My sister and my Dad also had to see her as well, very rude, cold and not caring at all. She doesnt fit with the other doctors at Vestal Medical, they are all so wonderful! I have no clue why she is there.

Dr. Shabana Jamil is the most amazing Doctor I have ever had. I had some complications after a routine surgery and switched to her when the PCP I was seeing lacked a sense of urgency. Everything changed the day I walked into her office; she was attentive and listened to my concerns and took everything very seriously, which I greatly appreciated. She truly cares about her patients and tries her very best to ease their suffering. It has been an honor to be her patient.

She saved my father's life. No need to go into details... She knew what was going on and took care of the problem. She's very smart and efficient and my father is doing great! Thank you Dr. Jamil!

Dr. Jamil is an experienced internist with a tremendous amount of knowledge. She takes time to listen to the patient and answers all of our concerns. I would highly recommend her to friends and family!

I went there in a lot of pain for a knee injury while playing softball and she barley looked it prescribed pain meds and told me to come back in 2 weeks if it wasn't better. I called the office and she would not see me again so I went to the walkin where they actually did look it, did xrays and are pretty sure I have a torn ligament and if gone untreated I could make it worse. Oh yeah and she could of cared less that I already feel down stairs because of the knee giving out.

For my wife's particular situation, she did not seem to be particularly knowledgeable or helpful even after multiple visits. She was too eager to prescribe too many unnecessary and intrusive tests, all yielding to no conclusive diagnosis in the end. My wife changed her PCP after wasting about six months.
