Dr. Funk and Staff are the BEST you could find, in my opinion .

DR. FUNK SAVED MY LIFE! On 8/12/08 my gynecologist referred me to Kristi after an unsuccessful round of antibiotics for "mastitis" diagnosis, he called Dr Funk for an appt. The next day. Dr. F. listened did an exam, an ultra sound & said "I'm performing a biopsy now." After biopsy, would have results next day. "You have breast cancer!" How could any doctor diagnose BC unless they're have biopsy report? The following day, Dr, Funk reported, I had the most aggressive/deadly/rare B.C called "Inflammatory Breast Cancer" Most often, it’s not reflected on a mammo. (had perfect one 5 months earlier) or ultra sound. IBC symptoms are external: redness of breast/shooting pains, discoloration/increasing in size,etc. Kristi initially gave the statistics. Afterwards, gave us hope:" I'm going to do everything medically possible to help you." It's now 8/21/11, I'm doing well, my PET/CT scans are clear of cancer. I'm grateful for my brilliant/compassionate/skilled surgeon, Kristi!

Dr. Kristi Funk and the Pink Lotus Breast Center are more than miracle workers. After another doctor's biopsy indicated cancer Dr. Funk provided a second opinion and did an ultra sound at the Breast Center. She made recommendations and offered valuable information. After the decision was made by the patient Dr. Funk made recommendations for a plastic surgeon. Once that surgeon was selected arrangements were made and coordinated an amazing team for immediate reconstruction after Dr. Funk completed her portion of the bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Funk followed up with personal phone calls to St. John's Hospital to speak with the patient during her three day stay.

Wonderful center. Never been to a place like this before. If you had a breast scare like I did, this is the place to go.
