When I have an appointment I always see Dr. Shell. He spends a lot of time with me and is never in a hurry. We are able to discuss any issues and solutions in detail. The office staff and assistant are highly capable and very friendly. His referrals to specialists have always been spot on.

Dr. Steve is caring & smart. He knows his stuff. We trust him with our lives. He saved my husband when he was having a heart attack with atypical symptoms.

Despite a significant age difference between this doctor and me, he relates well. I never feel that he is talking down to me. As an excellent communicator, Dr. Shell is interested in what I have to say and listens thoughtfully. Our exchanges are most profitable. He appears to be on top of the current related research and if he is not totally sure of something, he will double check. He once gave me some advice that I did not follow. I went for a less intrusive procedure. That resulted in prolonging the intervention and recovery period.

I disagree with a former comment saying that Dr. Shell is more of a businessman. To run a successful practice, one must be efficient to be effective. We as patients gain from such skills.

Seems more like a business man than a doctor. Fine for routine check ups but when I went with a problem he just kept throwing medicines at it and I just kept getting worse. Decided to stop all medicine on my own and within a month I was feeling better. Then add insult to injury he and his wife (also a doctor) decided to go concierge and require a nearly $1600 out of pocket yearly fee on top of taking a co-pay and insurance payments so he could cut his patients load down to about 400 people and see only 8-10 patients a day but increase the number of tests he had done as part of an annual exam. Have moved on to a doctor who cares about her patient as much as she cares about her fee.
