I completely disagree with most of these reviews. I brought my child here over a year ago and my child has developed a strong bond with Dr. Goldenholtz. If you want a quick fix, or are looking for someone to tell you what to do rather then having you learn how to deal with life then correct- she is not the doctor for you. She is not the flashy doctor with the big office on the beach. But looks can be deceiving once you start your sessions with her you will see her time is valuable. I have come to trust her with my child.

I feel a need to respond to some of the negative comments posted here. Dr. Goldenholz practices classical clinical psychology. This method is not to give advice because humans do not take advice. The concept is to have the patient become self aware that a change is required. If you go to several sessions, the writing decreases and the discussion of ideas for change occur. The location is modest so you know you are paying for her to cover her rent. I believe that she could retire but feels a genuine desire to help people. If you are looking for a guru, look elsewhere. If you want a spirit guide, look elsewhere. If you want classical clinical psychology. You have found it here.

She is kind and polite. She cares about her patients. She is also very comforting. At first I did want her to give me advice, but later I quickly learned she wanted me to talk out my problems and come up with my solutions. She didn't want to tell me what to do. She wanted me to figure out want I wanted or needed. I appreciate that she isn't a controlling dr. Who tells you what to think or what is wrong or right. She is professional.

The doctor is Very unprofessional and Rude! I went to see the physician for the weight loss evaluation a week ago and she promised she would write the letter over the weekend in which I thought was too long of a delay considering my appointment was a on Tues. and the only thing she had to do was write a letter indicating of she recommended the surgery or not. However, I respected her time and patiently waited for the weekend to come and go. I contacted the office the following Monday to only be told by Pat that she typed the letter which the doctor has to review and fax. I explained the urgency once more and Pat stated she would have the doctor contact me, which the doctor never did. I called the doctor on 05-17-16 to follow up after speaking with the Surgeons office who confirmed they didn't receive the letter. Dr. Goldenholz got on the phone and began to elaborate that she has other things to do and other patients to see, therefore, she hasn't had the time to review and sign the letter that Pat had already typed up. The doctor was extremely rude and failed to hear me out and showed no concern about the surgery being tentatively scheduled for the 31st. The doctor stated she would review the letter later that evening and fax to my doctor that evening and suggested that I have a nice life and hung up. On 05-18-16, I called Dr. Goldenholz to verify if she faxed the letter and upon stating my name she hung up the phone and failed to answer when I called her back. The doctor received payment from me on the date of my visit and the insurance has since paid for the office visit, therefore, I do not understand the unprofessional treatment. The doctor also mentioned during my visit that she does not feel I am ready for the procedure in which I think she was wrong for stating that and should have offered her professional medical opinion. If you are a paying customer or have private insurance that requires you to may a copay, deductible, or coinsurance I would stay away as she doesn't know how to treat patients who paying out of pocket for service.

I was almost too fair in giving her so many opportunities to disappoint me as a therapist! She just seems to want to take your money. When and where did she go to school. All she did was write. Never truly listened or responded empathetically or appropriately. She provides zero input or insight. Her accent is strong and many times I had to ask her to explain or repeat herself because she was so difficult to understand. If you want someone who will just take your money and do NOTHING to HELP you EVER, this is the therapist for you! Oh my good god awful.

I have to disagree with the previous posters. Dr. Goldenholz was attentive and made positive suggestions. She did not watch the clock, nor did she merely nod her head. She listened carefully to my concerns and I found her comments very helpful.
