Dr Kern is a true professional. Extremely knowledgable and skilled. Rid me of bladder cancer and has looked after me since. Alot of these reviews complain about his personality... I disagree and I'm not looking for that, I feel blessed to have had such a excellent doctor and surgeon. I have been seeing him since 2010 and find him friendly and yet yes he is serious. When someone is dealing with these issues who wants them to be a babysitter or gregarious? Not me. I'm very pleased with hos office and him.

Dr. Kern performed a Urestomy on me in June of 1993. I am now 85 years of age and still going strong. As I recall he was very kind and caring to me although my wife did not share my views. Her main complaints were that he was very abrupt and also waited too long to tell us that all the cancer was removed and had not spread outside the bladder. As far as I am concerned he added 18 or more years to my life, so far, which has permitted me to be able to help a divorced daughter get her three sons through college. She had a husband who walked away from her three children and hasn't seen or called them in 16 years. Also my wife came down with Parkinson's Disease about 13 years ago and I have been able to be her Caretaker, chief cook and bottle washer. Another plus in living the past 18 years is that our 12 Grandchildren have so far given us 5 Great Grandkids with another one on the way. Who could ask for more? Thank you Dr. Kern for giving me the chance to do these things.

Dr. Kern has treated me for bladder cancer. As of Dec. 09 I am cancer free. When he has the time he is both friendly and helpful. He has been late on occasion due to hospital visits. He usually is very business-like during exams and does not waste time, although I feel he has his patient's best interest at heart. I have found his staff very friendly and helpful.

I called to make an appointment for my elderly mother. The receptionist was curt and rude. I asked what the normal routine of examination was, and she told me my mother would have to go to a hospital for CT and then see the doctor. When I asked what hospital the doctors were affiliated with, I was told Hunterdon. I explained that my mother lives in Middlesex, to which the receptionist rudely remarked, "Then why is she coming to this doctor?" I replied that she wanted a female doctor. The receptionist said there was no female doctor. I explained that the website indicated that Dr. Latsko, a female urologist, was on staff. The receptionist said it wasn't on their website and that Dr. Latsko left 3 years ago!!! I asked if she knew of any other female doctors and she coldly said," NO!" Her tone and abrupt behavior made me cringe. I would hesitate to ever try to book an appointment with her again.
