I had a core needle biopsy which was presented as no big deal. The discharge instructions said possible tenderness the next day.

Not expecting nor was I expecting a big deal, I returned to work the next day. Unfortunately I felt like I had been hit by a bus. Also need to return to Dr. Gleason's office the next morning because although I was careful, the tape holding the incision was coming off!!!

I felt like crap extremely sore and needing to wear a sports bra day and night as well as binding myself with an ace bandage 24 hours a day for the first 3 weeks!!!

I needed to return yet again after 1 week when the tape holding the incision closed was causing burning - turned out it was pulling on skin incorrectly, so I had skin above and below teh incision blistering and pulling skin off!

Another return to the office to re-tape. I did tell Dr. Gleason I was not at all prepared for the amount of recovery (actually I was quite shocked). She did tell me my procedure was more aggressive than typical. I told her she really should have told me that after the procedure. The only information I had was teh discharge sheet with "pain and tenderness " the next day, Really? I felt like I was harpooned at 3 feet. The lack on information was really a disservice. I would have taken her 9 seconds to give me the heads up.

I have had a lot of medical issues in my life and Dr. Gleason is the most compassionate, knowledgeable, efficient, caring doctor I have ever meet. She has been wonderful throughout my breast cancer treatment even calling me in San Diego to talk. I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful doctor during this difficult time.

Dr. Gleason is a caring and compassionate doctor, with expert knowledge of the most current research in breast cancer treatment. I chose her over a "star" surgeon in NYC for my cancer care. I knew I would receive better care, and more attention, from her practice and team of professionals than I would at a giant cancer center where I would be one of 100s of patients a day. I was thrilled to learn that HMC is a nationally accredited breast cancer program, confirming my choice to stay close to home for treatment. She is a wonderful listener and takes as much time as I need to answer questions and concerns. I'm extremely happy with the care I receive from her, and at Hunterdon's cancer center. I glad to see Dr. Catherine Gleason 's patients have had a good experience however my surgery did not go as well. What was a less then an inch incision ( breast biopsy) turned into a 2 inch whole as the epenefrine killed the surrounding cells. The whole had to be treated by another physician . Dr Gleason said it was no big deal , another patient of hers had it on both breast and didn't complain. I have pictures of the infection . Was left with a scar and discoloration. I was told I should be thankful to still have my breast. I would not recommend Dr. Gleason.

Dr. Gleason is both talented and compassionate. She is thorough when providing information and thoughtful when answering questions. While scheduled appointments often run late, she spends as much time with you as you and your family need to feel comfortable with the information presented, and more than once called after hours or on weekends to provide additional information or check on how I was doing. I have complete trust in her and the team of professionals with which she works (Dr. Myron Bednar and Dr. Kevin Nini).

Dr. Gleason is a very affectionate person. She sometimes is at a loss for words when speaking to family members. The office wait time when you have a scheduled appointment is enormous you must pack a snack or two.

She is brilliant, talented, thorough, very caring, and has an incredible personality. She is attuned to your physical AND mental discomfort. She explains everything in detail so you can understand easily what is happening, explains your choices etc. Also, she led me to the best Oncologist, Dr. Robert Somer from Cooper Hospital. I feel blessed to have found her and recommend her 100%.

Dr. Gleason is an extremely knowledgeable and talented surgeon. She is an excellent diagnostician. I would recommend Dr. Gleason to any woman who has a breast issue. She's a delightful lady as well and very considerate and caring of her patients.

She's a breast specialist for breast disease, abnormal mammograms, ultrasounds and anything found on physical exam. She's been specializing in breast for almost 20 years. She has a wonderful staff and they coordinated all of my tests and treatments. The Doctor is from down south, and she is very soft-spokenand can be quite a lively conversationalist. She is very knowledgable and I am recommending her to everyone I know.
