Dr. Saunders did joint replacement on my left thumb 10 years ago and the right thumb 2 years later. He was the nicest Doctor I have ever had, very personable and professional. Did a great job, wish he was a G.P. I would have him as my Doctor. I have dropped in to see him a few times when I was in the building with my husband seeing other Doctors, he is alway kind and interested in how I am. His secretary Margo is a wonderful caring person, I got to love them both and feel like they were friends. I wish more Doctor's were like him, he is a gifted man. Rita Gillard

Dr. Saunders was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative in dealing with my knee ligament injury. Made sure that he exhausted every avenue to properly asess and treat my condition. You are in good hands with Dr. Saunders.

Very disappointed that Dr Saunders did NOT Meet with us after doing the surgery on my Mother. Find it very strange that he would not meet with the family after to explain how everything went. We are assuming he did a good job and all went well, BUT really do not know. Hope he has a good excuse. Very unprofessional! As we are still waiting as this is being posted.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Saunders to my foot surgery. He explains what he was going to do & the course for recovery. Unfortunately I had a complication after surgery. He has been so helpful & caring. I would recommend him to anyone.

I am trying really hard to like this doctor because everyone thinks very highly of him- he has seen family and friends and my GP likes him... however, I always leave with unanswered questions- I don't know if it's too soon or what. He usually makes me feel stupid and has no respect for the traumatic events that actually led to my injury and need for his care. I tried to explain, he seems uninterested though he wants me to make changes to promote healing, my whole life for the immediate future has already changed and there seems to be zero sympathy from him. I am afraid to ask him to fill out paperwork, and feel like he doesn't give me the whole story. He's not very clear about treatment plan etc either.

He gets you to come many times for the same thing and sends you all over to get x-rays and ultrasounds several times and sends you out to try unproven techniques before he finally adds you to his 2 1/2 year waiting list for an operation. I first saw him 3 years ago and still have over a year to wait yet until the date of my (in his words) simple procedure.

DOCTOR SAUNDERS IS VERY PLEASANT AND TREATED ME FOR A HEEL AND ANKLE FRACTURES. THERE WAS NO SURGERY AND NO CAST EVEN THOUGH I QUESTIONED HIM HE SAID EVERY THING WAS IN LINE JUST STAY OFF THE FOOT FOR 8 WEEKS. AFTER THAT TIME I STILL FELT THE FOOT HAD PROBLEMS BUT HE ASSURED ME EVERYTHING WAS HEALING FINE. NOW 1 1/2 YEARS LATER AND SEVERAL VISITS I AM HAVING A MRI, CT SCAN, INJECTIONS AND GOING TO ANOTHER ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON WHO SPECIALIZES IN ANKLES. I FEEL THERE WAS MORE DAMAGE DONE THAT HE MISSED AND HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKER TO INVESTIGATE WHEN I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE HEELING PROBLEMS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I AM HEADED NOW OR HOW SERIOUS THIS OVERSIGHT MAY BE IN MY RECOVERY.

sent home with badly swolen and sore knee,would not attempt to analize or drain gave her pills instead and said thet would heal the knee. Patiant was later rushed to another hospital by ambulance because of the pain as she could not walk on it 3 days later. That hospiltal immediatelt drained 2 vials of fluid from the knee and she was fine the next day

Dr Saunders is a caring & concerned surgeon. He performed an ulnar head resection in Oct. to repair a badly set wrist I broke 2 1/2 years ago. I am now relatively pain free (some residual post op pain) and medication free for the first time in 2 1/2 years. I put my trust in this wonderful doctor and was not disappointed. All my thanks. It is great to be able to say that you had and excellent doctor and his team (resident Dr. Tushinski) care for you.
