This guy gives 100% inaccurate diagnosis. Partner had misfortune of herniating and pinching quite a few discs and nerves in his neck. WSIB forced him to attend their Altum Health clinic. Dr. Drew video called in to give him a diagnosis of a strain/sprain with radicular features. Was completely dismissive that we already had an out of country neurosurgeon diagnosis of cervical herniations and dismissive of the symptoms my partner is experiencing. Not only that this guy didn’t have emg test results to make his diagnosis that prove pinched cervical nerves and did not have the MRI images which shows herniations as clear as day. Also in order to give a proper diagnosis surgeons have to see the patient in-person for a physical examination and testing which he was obviously not at the clinic in person. My partner questioned his diagnosis and he got all defensive and insulted. This guy is more concerned about getting paid by WSIB then giving real correct diagnosis and providing a proper treatment plan for the actual injury. Should loose his medical license. Not too mention of you look up WSIB cases in CANLII where he is involved he always goes against other specialist diagnosis. His diagnosis are always in favour of WSIB to get workers back to work as fast as possible even though they are still injured. Be warned. Always get second and third opinions

Very disappointing and complete waste of time. Spending maybe a total of 5 minutes in the room. Definitely more concerned with WSIB than the actual patient!

Disappointing all around. Dr. Drew was dismissive, not helpful, and produced no positive results. He is more concerned about WSIB then the actual patient.

Dr Drew was fantastic. His kindness and caring for my situation was the first thing i noticed. He offered me several options for treatment despite not being a great candidate for surgery. I think people get frustrated as they all think they need surgery and if Dr. Drew suggests otherwise they think he is dismissive. He is genuinely choosing to offer the best advice and care to his patients and not just operate on anyone who wants it. This is way better than offering surgery to people who will not benefit from it. Also, to note on another comment- Dr. Drew has performed surgery for over 23yrs and has loads of experience. I think he is slowing down his practice which is why he does not operate as much any longer. I think every doctor deserves the right to slow down without saying he is not a good surgeon. Let Dr. Drew's remarkable success and very satisfied patients speak for him not one bitter person who says they work in the hospital ?

The patient who does well will always write a good review but be careful people. I work in the hospital. He operates very rarely and does only minor surgeries, takes no call, and we see a lot of complications and reoperations from him.

I will thank Dr. Drew for the rest of my life ... Dr has performed surgery on my back disc. He does not waste time on empty talk and his actions are clear and precise. Advice and help are invaluable. He did his job professionally and gave me back the ability to move freely again and relieved me of my crazy daily pain. I bow downto to you doctor !!!

Dr. Drew has performed two surgeries on me. I can not thank Dr. Drew enough! He is amazing and compassionate! Trish is super awesome as well! If you can get an appointment with him be thankful! He will only fix what can be fixed! Thanks Dr. Drew!

Dr Drew is the worst Dr I have ever seen. I saw him at the ALTUM health clinic in Hamilton. He was dismissive, rude and condescending. As a professional who has never lost a day's work in over 20 years, this was my first experience with WSIB. I was an active runner and the injury has changed my life. He dismissed me within 5 minutes. His lack of compassion was remarkable... He couldn't even look at me, he kept his back turned. He offered no answers, no options. He just wants to get you off WSIB as I am sure he get some sort of pay out.. Shameful

Dr. Drew is outstanding! I believe him to be top in his field.
If he can help you, he will. Back pain can be complex and very often, tricky to treat - surgically or otherwise. Dr. Drew is not a surgeon to perform a surgical procedure, unless he knows improvement is possible. Not all back issues fit that bill. Aside from his incredible knowledge, he happens to be a very nice, personable guy! Although bedside manner is not crucial, when seeking out an excellent physician, it does help. I find he takes a great deal of time to listen, assess and guide. If you've had a bad experience with Dr. Drew, perhaps your expectations are beyond the possibilities? Also, his assistant is a great person to deal with! It has to be a tough job, working for a busy, in demand, highly specialized surgeon. I can imagine it would be difficult to deal with patients who expect instant communication, appointments, etc.

Dr drew has sold out to WSIB... he saw me in and out for all of 3-4 min. Told me my pain was all in my head.. and didn’t even look at my MRI. Such a disappointment. He didn’t even talk to me, examine me.. such a lack of respect and compassion.
