Dr. Smith is exceptionally caring and knowledgeable about prenatal and postnatal care. I feel secure with her as my doctor and confident in her ability to take care of me and my baby. She tells you the true and helps to make your birthing experience as natural and safe as possible. She has a wonderful bedside manner.

Dr. Smith was a great help to me. She diagnosed me with asthma when other Drs couldn't find it and as a result, my life became much easier. Friendly and professional, she was very knowledgeable. She listened to me and responded to my needs. I received a letter when she quit her general practice. Although I wish I could still see her, I understand her wish to go into a different area of practice.

Dr. Smith was my doctor from my age of 16 until I moved away from the lower mainland 3 years ago. I was grateful that she began to specialize in maternity as she was wonderful in helping my through my two pregnancies.

Dr Smith Was my dr for MANY years...she was the best dr ever...always helpful..and always putting my mind at ease...She also delivered my baby over a year ago and it was the best experience. She was amazing and made me feel comfortable and safe. I miss Dr. Smith As my family Dr. but understand why she is only doing maternity. People who say bad things about her are wrong...she is the best.. she is an amazing and a very caring Dr. Best Dr. I have Ever had. And I got lots of notice before she stopped being my family dr. I cant wait to have another baby and have her Deliver him or her.

I gave birth to a baby that was close to 10% of my pre pregnancy body weight at 10 pounds. I purchased my records (to the tune of $60.00 for a very thin folder) and in it was the record of my pregnancy measurements. In the first measurement to the last and every one in between it stated large for dates or twins. During the birth my son experienced shoulder dystocia and was born with a broken clavicle and erbs palsy which luckily was temporary. As for me, I tore into my rectum and five days later my stitches burst which was excruciatingly painful. This has left me with a life long problem of fecal incontinence not to mention the situation does not do much for one’s intimate experiences. I wish she had quite her practice 11 years earlier and I can’t believe she is solely delivering babies. As for the wait times, they were completely ridiculous. I really wonder how many other healthy people she has injured . . .

Dr. Smith is absolutely amazing!!! I gave birth to my son February 2nd at Surrey Memorial! Dr. Smith is great because she fully explains whatever you need to know without making you feel stupid. My son was head down but his face was looking upward, and he had to be face down. Dr. Smith was able to get him to turn on his own by having me position differently. I ended up delivering him, he was tilted sideways. Dr. Smith did everything possible to make sure we delivered him naturally! It was still a very challenging delivery, but thanks to her it happened naturally! She was very patient and worked with me in a way that reduced tearing. She was so wonderful that I had a tiny tear that didn't even need to be stitched, but I got the one stitch anyway! I was very satisfied, she made my experience a bright and positive one!! I love how caring and happy she was, I felt safe having her as my doctor and would certainly recommend her to others!!!

Please don't mistake friendliness for competence. She is a nice person, but I feel she is a poor GP. She used to treat many members of my family, but I quite seeing her when she failed to diagnose cancer in a family member. This family member was a toddler and the cancer was visible and sensitive to the touch. An emergency doctor properly diagnosed this advanced stage cancer in triage and Dr. Smith had seen the patient two weeks prior for a general check-up and failed to identify any problems. I recommend extreme caution when using her as a GP, although I expect she learned a valuable (and difficult) lesson in this case.

Dr Smith filled in for my OB when I delivered my second via c-section. She was absolutely wonderful and I think you should rate her by the way she does her job and not because it was inconvenient for you all to find a new doctor. She is following her dreams and so quit whining and rate her based on how she does her job. SHE IS A WONDERFUL DR AND HAD SHE NOT BEEN THERE I WOULD HAVE BEEN A BASKETCASE. My baby was 9.3 and her head was too big to fit through so her and Dr Tam and about 10 other people in the room gave me my second precious baby girl. She congratulated me and completely put me at ease. Thank you Dr Smith!!!!

Dr.Smith delivered my son and his sister. Every time i see her she always has answers to my question. I just think its too bad that she went to the maternity clinic and no longer has her own practice :(. But i still am seeing her for this pregnancy at the maternity clinic
