Dr. Felker does not mince words, he tells you like it is and is a great diagnostician.

my experience with DR.FELKER HAS BEEN TERRIFIC. HE IS A VERY THOROUGH PERSON. HE DOESN'T TREAT YOU FOR SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE. HE TREATS YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE.

I saw him 3x with a cluster of several unrelated symptoms, which he wanted to only talk about one at a time, and not systemically. He referred me to appropriate specialists. Eventually, when symptoms included double vision, a neurological ophthalmologist diagnosed Thyroid eye disease. If Dr. had listened and sythesized the information I told him instead of minimizing, and insinuating that I was a frequent complainer, with a history of depression and anxiety, taken lab tests, it might have been diagnosed earlier before the eye symptoms got irreversible. It took 5 months and many other visits to doctors: cardiologist-3, endocrinologist-3, ophthalmologist-3, rheumatoid arthritis specialist-1, Ophthalmic neurologist-2. before treatment was begun by the endocrinologist. I was my own advocate, wishing for primary doctor's curiousity and committment even if it took more than 15 minutes, and could not be classified on the form as a discreet diagnosis that no other specialist was treating.

He is very caring. I have been going to him for years. He has good days and bad days, but he always addreses my issues and really cares about what is going on with my health. His office has issues, but I have not been to a Dr. office that is perfect.
