Just saw Dr. Saint-Martin for the first time. He listened to my concerns, answered my questions. He is thorough, pleasant and professional. I am reassured and feel like my health is in good hands.

I have seen him on two occasions as he was working as a walk-in doctor. He refused to help me both times stating "I only work on geriatrics" and told me to go see my family doctor. The first time I needed antibiotics and the next time I needed an injection. Spent 20 minutes in a waiting room just to be sent away with nothing.

I went in to emerge 2 weeks after a hysterectomy, he proceeded to tell me that it was normal to have plate size clots come out and to see my family doctor 3 hours away. Did not do an internal or had no concern and sent me on my way. Made it 30 mins from hospital and lost consciousness from blood loss and had to be medi vaced to a major center. This was 12 years ago and I will never ever forget his name and the PTSD he has caused me over my lifetime. I wouldn't send my worst enemies to this man for advice.

I took my husband to Dr. Saint-Martin for cognitive testing & specifically asked for someone who knows about adults with learning disabilities (LD) in order to accurately judge whether there was cognitive decline. Dr. Saint Martin said he didn't know anything at all about LD but said he'd do his best. When testing, he was unable to allow for the disabilities such as reversal of #s that dyslexics are known to do as well as spelling errors (literacy, spelling, numbers are issues with dyslexics as are left and right). In the end though he scored my husband as 2 points below the acceptable threshold, he is forcing a driving test on him at a cost of $ 400. This is ludicrous when he (doctor) freely admits he knows nothing about LD and can't distinguish it from cognitive impairment. Run away from this doctor. PS he was 15 minutes late for the appt. and clock watched the whole time.

I took my mother to see this doctor regarding medication she was on. He started doing tests and did not explain himself throughout the appointment. Poor bedside manner and very unprofessional. I took my mother for medication adjustment and come out finding that she can no longer drive unless she goes for a test that costs $300. For a senior to pay this kind of money is outrageous!! He was so serious and would not smile nor look at the patient when in the appointment. He was manly looking at his computer screen and would mumble off some information and then more tests. We went to him for answers and came out distraught, upset and very confused. We have advised our family doctor that we do NOT want to see him again and will be going to Glenrose from here on out. I just wanted to write this so no other person has to go through what my family did!! It was very disheartening and very upsetting to all involved. There was a way to handle this situation, and in my view he handled this terribly. He was also 1/2 hour late for the appointment. No smiles, no nothing to make a person calm before what transpired. Very, Very poor doctor. It is unfortunate that he is aligned with the PCN.

Dr. St Martin is working as a geriatric specialist at the Primary Care network yet he is registered as a family physician with the Colleges of Physicians. I took my Mom to one appointment where a quick MOCA was done. He was impatient and definitely increased the anxiety level of both myself and my mom. He referred her for some further testing. At the next appointment, he discovered only one of the follow up tests had been done. He became frustrated and rude, saying he couldn't do anything. I am am single mom who is responsible for driving my mom and kids. My car was in the shop and they called during the appointment. I took the call because it was important for me to have transportation. He became further agitated. The appointment was short. When I got home,, I discovered he had left me a message on my phone to the effect that he was going to refer my mom to Driver Fitness. A phone message is not way to tell a patient this type of potential life changing information, especially since as far as I could see, there was no new information to make this judgement. He was aware that my mom did not have a family doctor, and yet this Driver Fitness test requires a family doctor and $250 to take a Drive Able test. I had to ask for an extension, otherwise the licence would be taken away. I was eventually able to speak with him on the phone, where he insisted that it was his judgement. He refused to give me any more time and cut the conversation off. I wrote him a letter and he refused to answer it. In fact, he had his staff hand me back the letter. Needless to say, we are not returning to Dr. St Martin, as it seems are other patients. I agree he in not understanding or compassionate. I also found untruths in my mom's file that I got a copy of. This is unprofessional!

Wow! Like another commenter, I too had issues getting a prescription for birth control after my daughter was born. He was rude and short with me. Told me he couldnt help me. I was on birth control for years before I had my daughter. Told me breastfeeding was nature’s birth control. Needless to say I went to a medicentre.

Dr Saint-Martin is not the most understanding or compassionate for a doctor. Spent more time asking repetitive questions than answering them. Left his office with no answers and in tears. Terrible personality and terrible bedside manner. If you want a doctor that cares, avoid him. Definitely looking for a different doctor
