Reading some of the reviews almost prompted me to cancel my first visit, but so glad I met with Dr. Kuwan. Nothing but professional. knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns and questions. My initial meeting required rather painful investigation of my problem and throughout she was apologetic and responsive to my pain level. I would recommend Dr. Kuwan unreservedly to anyone who needs compassionate care.

Dr.Ulana Kawun is very compassionate and kind. Her knowledge skills are remarkable.

I had a colonoscopy done at GTA, at the Milner location, today with Dr. Kawun. She, Dr. Wang (the anesthetist) and the nurses (an all female team!) were brilliant. I felt treated like royalty :-) Dr. Kawun answered all my questions and followed up after the procedure. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The whole thing went fast and easy. Great job, team!

I recently had surgery with Dr. Kawun. I found her to be very knowledgeable and explained the procedure in detail. She was very kind and compassionate and was there to answer any questions while in recovery. She took the time after hours to call with my results to put me at ease. I would definitely recommend her based on my experience. Thank you Dr. Kawun!!

I have been going to Dr. Kawun for many years and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is honest, knowledgeable and always puts her patients first. Sometimes appointments are late, but that happens at any doctor's office and I don't she can be faulted for that. Thank you Dr. Kawun.

I've been diagnosed with a very complex cancer. She called me while she was out of town once she got my results to help expedite my treatment. She has been with me every step of the way.

Dr Kawun is by far, the worst doctor I have ever seen. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to see her. The waiting room did not even have standing room. People were waiting in the hallway. My appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. Her exam was less than 2 minutes. She wanted to rush, so did not ask me to change into a gown. She just put it on top of me. She did not cover the second item listed in the referral letter from my doctor. When I mentioned it to her, she spent 30 seconds examining but did not say anything about it. She wanted to do three separate procedures, each under anesthetic. She did not discuss possible complications of the surgery. She only pushed to proceed. When I said I wanted to think about it, she got me out within two minutes. Dr Kawun only cares about the money she can make.

Abrupt, rude and condescending. Would not recommend her. Has no empathy for her patients or perspective patients. Should be in another line of work.

Absolute worst experience of my life. Dr Kawun performed a rubber band ligation for my internal hemorrhoids. She first examined me so quickly and roughly that I didn't know if I could even proceed with the procedure because of the pain. I've had major complications including severe excruciating pain post-procedure and newly developed thrombosed hemorrhoids. I can't walk, sit, lie down let alone go to work, but she is unavailable to re-examine me. What's more, she informed her secretary to tell me that this is normal. Never been in so much pain and agony in my life!
