Dr Fleetwood saved my wife Suzanne's life. She suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on her cerebellum and her prognosis was grave. Dr Fleetwood did her surgery, opened her skull by cutting out a bone flap and removing the blood clot. She was in ICU in Victoria General for 4 weeks and also suffered a blood clot in her lung as well as her leg. Dr Fleetwood came to check on Suzanne many times to see her progress. An amazing neurosurgeon. Thank you for saving my wife. She is now recovering in Rehab centre in Nanaimo and all the Drs and therapists are completely amazed at her recovery considering her initial prognosis. She has also had much prayer support from our local church in Parksville. But we are so thankful for Dr Fleetwood who agreed to do her surgery when her condition was so grave.

Marlene, Dr. Fleetwood’s receptionist was warm & helpful & answered several question that I had.
Dr. Fleetwood was absolutely amazing … he walked me through every step of what my procedure would be on my neck.
He is a very kind & caring man.. I never felt rushed in his office.
The day of my surgery Dr. Fleetwood & a couple of his surgical team popped into see me,, it made me feel relaxed & at ease before going into surgery.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Fleetwood, his team & Marlene. My surgery was a huge success & I am pain-free.

You operated on my back, L4/5, with great success and almost literally gave my life back. May 10/2013
was the date which came about on account of a cancellation after seeing me on an emergency basis
4 days earlier. To this day I am grateful!! I asked your office if I could obtain a record of the medical
procedure as I, under Revenue Canada rules, can apply for a disability deduction as presently I have (had)
recurring back problems necessitating the use of a walker at times and a cane. My e-mail is

Dr.Fleetwood is the best neurosuregeon I have had - and I've had a few!
He is kind, competent, knowledgeable and compassionate. He tries many avenues, if necessary, when trying to figure out a problem.
When he talks, it is at a level I understand and I don't feel rushed at all.

Dr Fleetwood completed a Burr holes procedure with a saline flush to remove blood from a subdural hematoma. The procedure was very successful. Dr Fleetwood explained the procedure very clearly pre-op, clearly explained the results and expectations post-op and followed up 6 weeks later. Punctuality was rated at 4 only because the operation was delayed several hours due to Dr Fleetwoods heavy surgical workload.
Excellent doctor.

Dr Fleetwood did my Micro Vascular Decompression surgery to treat Trigeminal Neuralgia in May 2021. He explained to me in detail the various treatment options.
