I had a large septal perforation that caused continued nasal infections, several other ENTs said they couldn't help with it. He followed through did an amazing job, and its healed better than I ever thought possible, his beside manner is brisk but his knowledge and skill is the real deal. His staff is friendly and proactive.

My experience was disorganized and did not instill confidence in me as a patient that I am receiving proper care. My consultation appointment went well. The staff and doctor were on time and requested a CT scan and follow up appointment. I did not see a doctor until almost an hour into my follow up appointment time. It was not the doctor I researched and came to see for consultation. At this time, the doctor could not login to the computer. Then, the doctor asked me why I was there and did not seem to know that they ordered a CT and follow up appointment. I carefully explained why I was there to see if they had a clue and it was apparent they did not. Then they were unable to pull up my CT scan and got on phone with radiology right in front of me. Ultimately they recommended a surgery and have not yet even reviewed the CT scan. In a nutshell, my experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and a little bit frightening.

Dr Shiksni and his staff are excellent. Dr Shiksni performed a very necessary surgery of removal of nasal polyps from my nose. These polyps restricted my air flow tremendously and effected my lifestyle for almost 2 years. I couldn't exercise, walk , use stairs or even dance. This caused me to gain weight and eventually diagnosed with diabetes. Also, I lost my sense of smell. Dr Shikani finally performed my surgery and changed my life on February 29th 2016. The surgery was successful. Within 7 days, my sense of smell was restored. Within 17 days, I was able to walk around Druid Hill Park's reservior not once but twice, 3.04 miles., without losing my breath. I have been walking faithfully everyday. What a blessing?? Thank you so much Dr Shikani for caring for me and encouraging me. I am so inspired that I am going to conquer this diabetes because I can breathe and be more active without anymore restrictions. I feel great!!!

had a very favorable experience with Dr. Shikani from the Maryland Ear, Nose & Throat Center at Union Memorial Hospital.



From our first meeting prior to surgery through our final follow-up visit after my recovery, Dr. Shikani was helpful, informative, and willing to answer all of my questions about the procedure (a nasal septal repair). He even took the extra time to coordinate my procedure with my cardiologist so that my normal team of medical providers was completely informed of my condition and circumstances.



The surgery went exactly as Dr. Shikani described, and my level of discomfort was very manageable.



I feel great!



I would highly recommend Dr. Shikani to other patients who are looking for a capable surgeon.

My experience with Dr Shikani was extremely professional and knowledgeable. My surgery went very well and my recovery was so much better than I could have even imagined! I never had to wait very long at the office. I recommend him to anyone suffering from sinus issues.

Unfortunately, I found Dr. Shikani to be very rude and negligent. He came off as not caring or wanting to be bothered. He didn't explain or fully check any of my issues and ordered a small procedure to be done. I didn't know what was going on. On my follow-up appointment, I sat in the room waiting to hear some important test results. Instead, he was in the next room laughing and joking with the nurses while I sat for nearly 20 minutes. He finally stood in front of the door and sent someone else in to speak with me. He never actually came in the room or acknowledge that I was even there! The person who spoke with me was completely clueless and I am now in a worse off position and will need surgery. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone.

I made an appoinment with Dr. Shikani. I saw someone named Dr. Shehada after waiting 45 minutes. He spent 10 minutes with me and tried to sign me up for surgery. I won't be going back.

I have NO idea how helpful or how knowledgable he is. I never saw him but someone foreign who I couldn't understand well. The doctor billed my insurance as if I did, and I filed a complaint.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shikani for 10 years. Under no circumstances would I consider being treated by a different ENT Physician. He has a wonderful, warm and sincere bedside manner... he is thorough and his diagnosis is always accurate. I recently took my 13 month old to him because I trust him implicitly. I have also recommended him to my Mother and I would recommend him to any and everyone. I am always confident that he will leave no stone unturned to provide superior care and ensure that he does all he can to treat me.
