One of the worst doctors I have ever seen. Saw him early in my illness and all he did was squeeze my hands and say no auto immune stuff here, you are fine. I wasn’t fine and collapsed 2 weeks later with heart problems and kidney issues. Apparently I have some sort of connective tissue disease. He didn’t even care to investigate for 5 mins why a previous athlete completely fell apart in the span of 4 months. If i could rate him zero I would, he doesn’t deserve to practice medicine.

One of the worst doctors I have ever gone in my life ( and I have been to many). Waste of time and money. He basically said to me what the neurologist have told me previously but in Spanish. He was trying to sell me this Pain Rehabilitation clinic. He did not read my history (14 years of pain) and did not write down any symptom I told him I was having. He end up the appointment giving me a folder for fibromyalgia. No clear closure or explanation AT ALL. People tend to be biased because a doctor is part of the Mayo Clinic, thus, they have to be good. WELL HE ISNT. I would prefer to no see a doctor than to have to see him ever again. 1 star because google won’t let me post it with 0.. he deserves NONE. He is not caring for his patients at all.

I wasted two years seeing Dr. Abril because I thought, it’s the Mayo Clinic, this is the best place to be. He never seemed to listen to what I was saying and he dismissed many of my symptoms so that my illness would fit into the diagnosis he kept saying I had. I felt like he thought I was just making it up or being dramatic. After two years, I thought a second opinion and I was diagnosed almost immediately. THE WORST EVER. rate 0 . Did not look at ANY of the other MD's reports and biased the whole visit. He is a TOTAL WASTE. If you have real problems GO SOMEWHERE else. HE is a narcist who thinks HE knows everything....20 yr later! He MISSED IT BAD!

My opinion of the Mayo Clinic has drastically changed after my appointment with this doctor. He is not interested in doing further testing to come to a correct diagnosis. He dismisses symptoms and because of that ends up making a wrong diagnosis. I'll be very surprised if this Dr. is still practicing medicine in the next few years, he's that bad!!!

Expected so much more from Mayo Clinic! This Doctor was a huge disappointment. I waited months to be seen only to be given the wrong diagnoses! Find another doctor, because this one is a total waste of time!
