This doctor only cares about putting patients on his Research programs. He did not take time to read results of Pet scan in my husband's file. Even gave my husband a wrong diagnostic. When confronted with a lot of specific questions on our part, he got somewhat impatient and upset.Very worrisome to experience this kind of situation.

Dr. Kavan is an amazing oncologist. He is an angel sent.!! Very kind,caring and explains everything to the T. He made the best decision for my father whom is still alive 5 years later cause of him and other Dr's at the Jewish. Thank you Dr.Kavan for making this difficult journey into an easy one.. I only have praises for Dr Kavan. If I am still alive to write this note its because of him. No other oncologist wanted to treat me, he did, and 5 years later, I am cured. He is a no non sense type of Dr and highly competent. Very smart and honest, I trusted him from the first visit. Thank you Dr Kavan !

Dr. Kavan is an amazing Dr. he goes the extra mile for his patients he might seem curt on some appointments depending on what one needs but when you really need him he is there, he has been a great help to my son. I rate him highly.

This is him --) I checked your results, you have cancer, you have to do this, go there, Next!!! Oh.. Can`t forget this one... Phone NOTE ALLOWED IN HOSPITALS... and its not a "hospital phone",, its his "Black Berry" and while he was telling me that I have brain tumor, his phone rang 3 *&%?&$ times and had to wait. What an example of support, and ignorance.

Dr. Kavan is a very talented Doctor and has a very excellent knowledge in his work. He sometimes may seem short but I think he is so busy that he doesnt have the time that he would like to have to spend with each patient. We have seen several doctors concerning my moms cancer and I can tell you that he makes great decisions and we trust his judgement. He is very smart and does a great job with very little error. What more can we ask for.......
