Over a period of 6 months in 2020, Dr. Lucy Gilbert has shown to me to possess all the qualities of a top rate physician specialist: humane, calm, intuitive and highly knowledgeable and skilled. This summary of Dr. Gilbert’s qualities is based on 3 crucial moments in my time as a patient of the DovEE clinic: intake and 2 crises. Last but not least, Dr. Gilbert’s project seems to be run very efficiently. No waiting time, easy follow up and access to information and of course, great staff!

I am so thankful to Dr Gilbert and her incredible team. During a time such as these she wanted to take my case. Without her I would not be able to start living my life again. She took the time to speak with my mother and make sure that she understood everything she said while I was on the phone translating for my mom. She is a very human doctor and I am very happy that she was my mother’s oncologist!

I was operated by Dr Gilbert in 2015. It was a difficult case but she handled with care, compassion and I felt very blessed to have her! She is very knowledgeable and this did help me to take my decisions. I was finally discharged from the gynaecology oncology clinic in great shape and lifted spirit!

There are no words to describe how lucky we are to have this doctor in our city, but I will try. Aside from the fact that she is an amazing person who has dedicated her life to saving women, she has a rare ability to diagnose correctly. She has developed a groundbreaking tool to help in early diagnosis. She saved my life and I know she is saving the lives of so many. To those who are writing negative comments due to wait times to see her, I would like you to ask yourselves if you would want her rushing through your case instead of being thorough and patient with your care. If we have to be in front of an oncologist for any unfortunate reason, we would be so fortunate if all our doctors were this competent and dedicated to patients and their life's work.
