I had a wonderful experience from my first consult. This doctor is honest, knowledgable and answered all my questions. The office staff were good about keeping me updated on the long wait for my surgery (long wait due to covid). Excellent care in Burnaby Hospital for surgery and few weeks ago and great follow up care. I am an experienced health care professional myself and would highly recommend this doctor to anyone needing ACL reconstruction.

Dr Kostamo is the best of the best!
This is my 13th week of my right knee replacement and I can walk straight and no pain and can do everything I could not do before my surgery. The scar is so fine that you can hardly see it even other doctors that have seen it said it is beautifully done. I am very happy and am looking very forward to having my left knee done. I would recommend Dr Kostamo to anyone looking to having a knee or hip or shoulder replacement and he will explain and put you at ease. He is the best!!

Dr Tim Kostamo is absolutely awesome!
I just had my right knee replaced and Dr Kostamo is a very kind and knowledgeable doctor he kindly explains everything and puts you at ease with what he was going to do and he did a fantastic surgery on my knee this is my forth day already I can walk and my knee is straight!
Thank you so much Dr Kostamo I am now able to walk with a straight leg! I would recommend Dr Kostamo to anyone who needs a hip and knee replacement he is the best and I am very very happy with my surgery.

I had total right hip replacement done recently. Dr Kostamo knows how to keep things lighthearted but knows when to get serious or when you are nervous. He is extremely easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgable. He takes the time to explain things and he's simply a rock star in the Operating room. My hip was done only a few days ago and I can't believe how well I'm moving. He used the SuperPath approach for my hip and I'd recommend anyone needing a hip replacement to see Dr Kostamo.

I have had 3 surgeries done in 8 months by Dr. Kostamo 1st right knee replacement done
Jan. 25 2019 and 2nd left knee replacement done May 6 2019 and a total hip replacement
done Sept 6 2019 the outcome of all of this work Dr. Kostamo has done is fantastic. I highly
recommend this surgeon. I have been back to work since Nov 12 2019 and feeling great.

I have been seeing Dr Kotamo for a few years now. I had major issues including sever Osteo Arthritis in my right and then in my left knee. After trying to work with the problems, we decided that a total knee replacement would be the right course of action. I had the knee replacement in April 2018'. I was very happy with the surgery and with his care afterwords. Then it was time to take care of the left knee. Dr Kostamo did try to repairs the damage, but as he said the damage was very extensive, so we made plans to have the second total knee replacement. I had the second knee replacement done September 2019'.

I have been very satisfied with Dr Kostamo's knowledge and expertise, and the care of his staff.. but mostly have mostly been impressed with his concern with, and his help with. my over health all health, not just as it relates to my knees, but in general He took the time to learn about me as a patient, and how his surgeries would benefit my life as a whole.

I can only say that I would recommend Dr Kostamo to anyone, including my own family. So I give him 5 our of 5 on everything because he deserves it.

Dr. Kostamo did orthoscopic surgery on my right knee for a torn meniscus. I walked out of the hospital later that same day (on crutches) and was walking normally in about a week with no pain. The pain is still gone now. Very professional and organised with great bedside manner. Can't say enough about him and his staff. I now am looking forward to getting my left knee done and I AM CONFIDENT THE OUTCOME WILL BE JUST AS GOOD. EXCELLENT DOCTOR.

Dr Kostamo is absolutely fantastic. He did two extensive hip surgeries on me when everyone else said they couldn’t help me and I am forever grateful. He was incredible and his bedside manner was so calming

Just had my secondhi done and I am so happy with outcome. Just over two weeks and hardly need the cane. My husband had his knee done in October and had such a remarkable recovery as well. I recommend Dr Kostamo to everyone I know.

I had my second knee replacement done by Dr. Tim Kostamo. The other knee was done by a different surgeon (name withheld). The results between the two were night and day. The other one became limited to only 90 degrees of flexion while the one done by Dr. Kostamo fully bends to 120 degrees. The recovery time also was about half the time of the first knee. I was walking with a cane prior to having the second knee done. 3 months afterwards, I was walking golf courses. I played 188 rounds of golf this year and walked all but a couple. I can't say enough good things about the great job done by Dr. Kostamo.
