I was a patient of Dr. Gronau for 8 years and found her to be extremely knowledgeable and sensitive. I had been to 3 other Gnecologist's who dismissed my spotting between periods. She was the only one who did further testing to find out the cause, and was able to find pre-cancerous cells before they turned into full blown cancer. I do have to agree with the previous poster that I was extremely disappointed when she moved back to Canada without letting her patients know. I had seen her in October and was told to follow up in April. When I called to make my appointment for April, her receptionist told me she had moved. I was speechless. I realize she has many patients but I found this unprofessional and insensitive. It has impacted my original, positive views of her.

I liked Dr. Gronau, but I was very upset when she moved to Canada and never let her patients know ahead of time. This is inexcuseable.

Dr. Gronau delivered both my children. She is so knowledgeable and made a stressful situation (the first time) so much better. She is very easy to talk to and very sensitive to the feelings of first time mothers. I have sent all my friends to see her.

DR. Gronau is one of the most insensitive and rude practitioners I have ever met. She bullies and intimidates, ignores simple requests and generally made the birthing atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. Would not recommend her to anyone looking for a gentle or human birth experience. Horrible bedside manner.
